At School
V and I walk around the school.
We are both skipping the gym class we have. Today we have to sprint laps around the track and workout.
I don't skip much. I really don't at all. I'm genuinely a pleasant student. I do my homework. I infrequently skip school. I'm a genuine teenager in general. I listen to the laws. I am always in the house before curfew. Never done drugs. Never talked back to my elders. Yeah, call me a goody two shoes, but my mother raised me like this.
We turn around the corner, and we see Kaiden and his friends.
He is wearing a white plain t-shirt with gray joggers and white Adidas. And to finish it off, a black and white bandana.
Wow. My presence is blessed with this human being.
His friend turns his head and sees us.
"Act cool." V whispers.
"Me? Cool? Always." I say
Holy hell I'm not cool right now. I repeat I'm not cool right now. I am panicking! Mayday Mayday!
Kaiden and his friend walk toward us.
OH DEAR.
"Hey V, hey Ana," Kaiden says and beams at me.
He. Knows. My. NAME.
I smile back.
"Hey, Kaiden. Hello Jake." V responds with no sweat.
"What are you two doing. Arent, you suppose to be in class?" Kaiden says smirking.
"We were wondering the same thing," V responds.
Kaiden twitches his eyebrow.
That was hot.
"Well, you see. The teacher realized we were too smart for that class, so she told us to have a good time." Kaiden smiles.
"Huh. You two? Too smart? Okay. Good one. Anyway, I'm having a party this weekend. Could you two make it?" V asks.
"Sure. If Ana goes." Kaiden signals to me.
"I am," I say with a smile.
"Then we are," Kaiden responds and winks.
Kaiden and Jake turn around and wander away.
"There we go," V says and high fives me.
After home
I walk into my room and lay on my bed. I smile at the thought of Kaiden.
