Chapter 3: Social Studies
I came to my locker and found my girlfriends standing there.
“What did you do now?”-Ricci said in a fake mother voice.
“You don’t know? It’s on the school forum.”-Leslie said to her and showed her the phone screen.
“Let me see.”-I said and grabbed her iPhone4.
Our school forum is something where students write the latest gossips and the main events and stuff, we also put up schedules for practices and we put up our results.
Right there on the front page it said: Roxie Tanner just showed Mrs. Burner that it’s hard to catch her! You Go Roxie!!!
I looked at the comments which were basically just good job and she’s so good. And then I noticed that Dan was looking on from behind me.
“I see you are a bit of a celebrity. And what did I ever do to earn your attention miss?”-he asked in a very funny voice.
“I don’t know you tell me.”-I said turning to him.
“All I know is that you just started talking to me. Am I really that good looking?”-he asked sarcastically.
“In your dreams, I see somebody is way too conceited.”-I said in the same tone he used.
“Well I have to be if the most popular girl in the school is my friend.”-he said.
“Huh, are you sure?”-I asked sarcastically.
“Well hello? You are just so nice to me. If I didn’t know better I’d say you had a little crush on me.”-he said really trying to catch me.
“Yeah, yeah dream on.”-I shot back.
“And even if you are my friend, I don’t see how it affected Leslie, Amy and Ricci. They don’t go around assuming that they are really good looking or that I have a crush on them.”-I added firmly.
“It’s so funny to watch you two.”-Amy said from behind me.
Dan was standing there just speechless.
“I win this one. I’m not the most popular girl for nothing you know.”-I said and walked off with my friends.

“He is so into you!”-Amy said.
We were sitting outside on the steps sipping Coke. We still had about 10 minutes until our next class began.
“He is not.”-I said.
“C’mon it’s so obvious; as obvious as the fact that you like him back.”-Leslie said elbowing me.
“Oh ha-ha, very funny Les.”-I said sarcastically.
“See your guard is up, that means you like him.”-Ricci said.
