The Secret

When I was contacted last November about a delicate assignment, I wasn't willing to do it. I had always worked free lance for FBI but pretending to be someone else was a lot riskier than conducting a night courier business.

My business comprised of me and my techie friend Simon Sulkin. I would run errands with the help of him and get paid. I didn't need to show my face let alone pretend as someone else.

Given the delicate manner of the case and that I looked alot like the client's daughter, I was being paid twenty five grand just as advance money. I did not even want to comprehend the complete payment.

So it would be foolish to say no. Hence now, I had to pretend to be Tara Collins and this loyal labrador Nathan Anderson wouldn't leave her side.

It was becoming a little annoying. I was warned of Dominic Suarez and his men, trying to kidnap this girl but I wasn't prepared for Nate.

This much was clear that he was after something. But he didn't seem like an evil goon or something. But his motivation to stick with Tara was yet to be known.

She had met Tara prior to the commencement of the assignment for two months, in order to talk like her and act like her. Since the last six months now, she had been visiting events with Tara's family, fuelling the lie that I was Tara Collins.

Tara's father was an award winning nuclear physicist and he attended many events and award shows. I was portrayed as his daughter in every media conferences and post event interviews.

The real Tara Collins however was in Seoul, Korea, finishing her degree in medical sciences. Hence me and not the real Tara Collins was the target of not only Suarez and his men but apparently Nathan and the people he was working for.

Last night I had written all my deductions and conjectures and now it was time to carry out my plans. My first objective was to find out what Nathan was upto. Suarez was easy because his motives were known, but Nathan had so far revealed nothing of his intentions.

But if all went well, it would be soon that he reveals his secrets.
