Another night with Nate

Nate was snoring in the backseat. He snored so loud and the sounds he made were quite funny.

Tara was quite sure Nate was faking his sleep. He wasn't drunk either. He just wanted to take Tara to the cabin.

Was she finally going to meet the people after Tara Collins? She knew it was a trap she was walking into but who were pulling the knots. She had come to Denver to collect intel on these people and tonight was going to be her chance.

Or was Nate simply a common man, trying to be nice to a fellow tourist. She reached the cabin sooner than expected. It was quite dark outside and it was difficult seeing the cabin numbers.

Finally she found Nate's cabin and parked his car.

"Nate! Wake up!" I shook him hard, trying to wake him up.

"Ya, ya! I'm up, I'm up. " he staggered getting out of the car.

All the way to the front door, he leaned on me while I dragged him to the cabin.

"Give me your keys."

He just stared at me blankly. At that moment he really did look drunk. So I fished the keys out of his pocket and started unlocking the door when I suddenly felt a hand snake around my waist and another hand holding my hands still.

It took me by surprise and I turned to yell at him. But what I didn't expect was Nate being so close.

"Why did you run away from me Tara?"

Nate was so close that I could feel his body heat emanating from him.

"What are you talki..." and it was then that he kissed me. And it was not simple peck on the lips but rather full on make out session. Plus it did not help that I was talking when he had started kissing, giving him full access to my mouth.

At that moment, I didn't know anything. I was caught off guard. I forgot that I wasn't Tara, I forgot I was there on a mission, I forgot that Nate may be my enemy and I forgot that I shouldn't kiss him back.

And that is exactly what I did, kissed him back.
