The Shopping Incident (with a Twist)

Author's Note: Greetings readers! 1000anime here with another chapter. My days have gotten kinda crazy with college, so sidetracked with school stuff for a while. Trying my best to keep up writing this story as best as I can. Working on ideas for the next chapter, but if you have an idea that you want me to write, let me know! This chapter is basically the same as the original, but slightly different.

(Doflamingo POV)

Despite his intimidating appearance and what the newspapers said about him, Doflamingo was actually a pretty calm guy. The only reasons he ever looked for a fight was because someone had brought the fight to him; it was as simple as that in all honesty. 

But no matter how much he was a nice guy, there was always that one person who did something to get back at him. And this time, some idiot had gone and done the unthinkable: kidnapping Anne. So, like the nice guy that he was, he rounded up his family to rescue her.

It didn't take long for them to find out where the puppies' hideout was. And when they found it, they went in for the kill- I mean rescue mission. 

The front door was quickly taken by himself along with Diamante and Pica. The others took good care of any back door that they might've had. And with his Devil Fruit, the fight didn't last very long. 

After taking out the rest of the trash, Doflamingo's gaze finally found Anne's. And from what he could see, she looked to be alright. Though he had to make sure. Just in case she was hurt. 

"Are you alright Anne?" 

At a moment like this, he frankly could care less if anyone saw him like this; vulnerable. Worried.

Staring at him with wide eyes, her head simply nodded at his inquiry. Noticing a pair of sea stone cuffs, he looked brought out a key from his pocket he had recovered from one of the idiots and unlocked them. He could almost visibly see the rush of energy of Anne's Devil Fruit wash over her. 

Despite the millions of questions that were probably running through her mind, they just stood there in silence, staring at each other. 

Finally, after what seemed like hours, Anne was the first to look away at something on the floor. I could tell she was concerned in connection with the fight, so I spoke up. 

"I'm fine Anne." 

"You know I've learned how to tell when you're lying." she says to me. And what she said was slightly true as someone had somehow gotten a hold a sea stone knife while I wasn't looking. Her gaze softened for a split second at my silence and spoke again. "Don't tell me the big, bad Heavenly Demon was worried about me."

My brow darkened at her reply. How could I not? As a child, I had been born as a World Noble with the world at my feet. But then that was all taken away from me and I was left with nothing; no servants, no home, no security in myself. I was on the verge of insanity due to my living situation when I met the most unbelievable, strangest, and possibly the most unique girl in my entire existence. And, despite learning of my true origins when many would have discarded me, she stuck around and became the first person I truly came to think of as my family. 

As I starred into her eyes, I thought of everything we had shared in our lives; both the good and the bad. Laughing slightly, I leaned down to be even closer to her and whispered into her ear, 

"Always".

Author's Note: This was actually hard for me as I'm not very good at writing from another's POV. And Doflamingo has got to be the most psychological and demanding to write as since he has been through so much. I tried to keep that danger that he emits with the tenderness he has for my OC.
