So either she had done something in a past life to deserve this or the world just hated her, Anastasia. Which it shouldn't. Because she had nothing wrong. Those times she fought with both Marines and bounty hunters didn't count.

Either way, her day had gone from a peaceful outing to the market to being kidnapped by pirates who wanted to get back at Doflamingo for something he did. Who were these guys again? If she could remember their names, she could tell if they deserved it or needed to have something worse done to them.

But anyway, she was stuck as a damn damsel in distress to a bunch of fat, smelly men. For two whole days. They also seemed to have done their homework on her, putting a pair of Sea Stone cuffs on her; the only way to really contain a Devil Fruit user like herself.

On the plus side, they did manage to keep her well-fed. Maybe she should tell Doflamingo that when he came to get her. That way he'd only beat them within an inch of their lives and not kill them.

----------

Eventually, Doflamingo did come for her. On the third day to be precise. With just about the whole family in tow.

Wow. These guys must've not been in his good graces to begin with. Well, they were as good as dead now.

And as usual in a fight concerning Doflamingo Donquixote, things weren't so pretty when you got strung up with strings so thin you couldn't see it. She even got a little blood on her new top she bought. She'd have to yell at him later since, no matter what anyone said, blood was a real pain in the butt to get out.

Just as he took out the rest of the trash, Doflamingo's heated gaze finally set on her. And boy did he look royally pissed. Saunting over to her with his large legs, she was ashamed to admit she flinched, thinking he'd yell at her for being stupid getting herself kidnapped. Yet, instead of a loud voice in her ear, she felt large arms around her in a comforting manner. Was that shaking she felt?

"Are you alright Annie?" his voice was so quiet. So gentle. Like liquid velvet.

Nobody seemed to notice his actions as they looted the men's wares.

Silently nodding her head, he proceeded to unlock her cuffs that were still on her, feeling her powers rush through her body in a harmonious hum of energy.

They stayed like for a while, just standing in each other's presence. Calmly taking in the scene of violence before them. The bodies lined up in a bloody row. The eerie silence you hear after something so gruesome.

"You ready to head home?" As if the man had to ask. She was tired. Sweaty. And really hungry.

"Yeah" she planned on taking a long, hot shower when they got back. Maybe with some of that strawberry-scented body-wash...Why was she upside down?!

Doflamingo had lifted her onto his shoulders like a bag of potatoes. Mumbled something about not exerting herself? Damn him! Just when she was gonna say something nice to the jerk!

Author's note: Oh-my-glob you guys are awesome! Two-hundred and seventy-seven views!!! I am not worthy!! *says all of this while doing a happy dance.....

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for being a little late with this chapter. I've actually noticed I tend to update every six or so days, so I will try to keep this up.

I've also noticed that no one has yet to post a comment, so to motivate you all; the first one to comment will have a chapter posted in their honor... as long as they put up a theme as well.... I'm struggling thinking of new chapters to write.

Like it? Hate it? Let me know with your comments!!!
