It had just clicked in my brain that I had not yet seen my parents visited my parents yet even though we're 40 minutes away the Washington's were in Mt.Vernon for spring break we talked on the phone it never really occurred to me so why not pay them a little visit.

I slipped on some shoes and tied a green flannel around my waist "where ya going?" Thomas asked "to my parents" Thomas rolled over "spring break is nearly over we need to be back at Princeton by tomorrow we leave at 3am" I groaned but stopped when I saw Thomas dressing too "where are you going" on a picnic with everyone I wanted to before we leave" "oh"

My phone dinged letting me know my Uber was outside "oh! I've gotta go" I pecked him on the cheek

"Thanks for the ride" "no problem man" I walked up the gray stone steps and rung the door bell, mom opened the door she gasped and attacked me with hugs and kisses "Alexander! My baby I've missed you so missed" I giggled "mom we just talk yesterday" "I know but it's not the same as seeing your beautiful face" she smushed my cheeks with her hands "Martha honey who's at the- Alexander", more hugs.

"Don't stand there come inside" I smiled remembering the beautiful home these were the first people who took me in and gave me a home- a stable home. "Have you been ok sweetie?" I nodded "Thomas has been treating you right, right?" Dad asked I couldn't blame them for asking not after what happened with my last relationship I was in. "I'm fine Thomas has been treating me perfectly" I smiled.

They seemed as if they didn't believe me but I ignored it.

All of us laid in the red soft blanket that sat on the grass Mary and I were explaining college life to Peter, Randolph, Elizabeth and Jane "so you don't do any homework in class?" "Nope everything is on our own time" "whoa....." "ooouuuu Tommy do you love your boyfriend?" Bit off the topic, my father gave me a look "yes very much so" My mother smiled at me "Why is he so short?" Randy (Randolph) blurted out "Randolph! Don't be rude" Ma scolded.

I stifled a laugh "no ma it's ok I honestly don't know why he's so small"  but it was the most adorable things about him

Daylight has faded away into night Everyone was sad that we were leaving I wasn't expecting them to see us off because we were leaving at 3am. I had forced Alex to sleep so he wouldn't be too tired, I looked around the house making sure no of us left anything like phone, phone chargers and thing of that nature I laid down and went to sleep at 12:34 it was going to be a long drive.
