Clara arrives at an Irish pub called O'Connor's and walks in. Inside, an old Irishman is standing behind the bar.
"Top o' the mornin' to ya, Clara." said the old Irishman.
"Evening, Mr O'Connor." Clara said as she sat down at the bar. She emphasizes the word 'evening'.
"So, what can I get for ya?" asked Mr O'Connor.
"Tequila please." said Clara.Mr O'Connor pours Clara a shot of tequila. He notices that Clara is unhappy about something. As he puts the shot of tequila down on the bar he asked Clara.
"What's the matter, luv?"
Clara looks up with tears in her eyes. "Oh nothing. It's just my superintendent." Clara said as she drank the shot of tequila.
"Mr Clarkson. Ay the bastard." Mr O'Connor said, his tone gone from friendly to angry.
"What bit that fecker in the arse?" asked Mr O'Connor.Mr O'Connor's Irish way of cursing always makes Clara laugh.
"I don't know." said Clara.
"Another shot, Mr O'Connor." Clara said holding the shot glass up."I don't know if that's such a good idea, girl. Tequila is pretty strong stuff." Mr O'Connor told Clara. "Besides, don't ya have work tomorrow?"
"No I'm fine." Clara insisted. "I just wanna drown my sorrows."
"Look, why don't ya go home and have a good night's sleep? I'm sure you'll be feelin' better tomorrow." Mr O'Connor advised Clara.
"You're right." Clara said. "Maybe I should just go home and get some rest."Clara pats, gets up and leaves.
"Goodnight, Mr O'Connor." she said.
"Goodnight, luv." Mr O'Connor responded while wiping down the bar.Clara walks down the street with her head down, a bit. She turns and enters the apartment building's front door. On her way up the stairs she passes Mr Clarkson, who said:
"Two weeks..."She enters her apartment and walks straight to her bedroom. She flops down , face first, onto her bed and bursts into tears and cries. Clara soon falls asleep.
