Mornings aren’t my thing, waking up with nausea is even worse. Thing’s between Mario and I have gotten much better. He’s much more supportive on everything, whether if it’s my pregnancy or just something normal. I don’t know if something frightening happening made him finally wake up and face the real world. I know that he will slowly start to realize that in eight short months there will be a human being in the house.
Mario and I went to the mall to go shopping because tonight was the Borussia Dortmund’s annual Christmas party. We arrived home with our hands occupied, you could say I got massively carried away with the shopping. But he did tell me to buy anything I wanted so..Yeah.
"When I told you to buy anything you wanted. I didn’t mean literally buy the whole store.", Mario said, while chuckling and putting the rest of the bags on the couch.
"Don’t ever tell a girl to buy anything she wants. She will abide by the rules.", I said and set down the bags. I fell onto the couch on purpose because I was so tired. "My legs hurt.", I said but it came out all muffled because my face was in a pillow.
"What?", Mario asked, sitting down beside me.
I straightened out my body, now sitting like a regular person on the couch.
"I said, my legs hurt."
"Come on lets go to bed. Take a little nap.", Mario said and put his arm over my shoulder pulling me closer to his chest.
"Since when did you get all nice?", I asked smiling, really enjoying these precious moments with him.
"I have always been nice.", Mario said and kissed my cheek. "You see? I’m too kind.", Mario said and smiled at me.
"I’m too lucky.", I sincerely said. "Most girls who get pregnant unexpectedly they don’t get along. The father either leaves or the mother can’t handle it.", I said and sighed into his chest.
"I would never leave you alone with him.", Mario said and pulled me closer giving me a one arm hug.
"So sure it’s a boy, huh?", I said and laughed. "What if it’s a mini me?"
"I would have to keep an eye on her if it’s a mini you. All the boys would be all over her, first they have to get through me.", Mario said in a serious tone and relaxed next to me.
"If it’s a boy, all the girls would be at his feet.", I said and laughed.
"He would get his looks from his dad.", Mario said and pinched my cheek.
"Don’t be so full of yourself.", I said and smiled. "I look beautiful too.", I squeezed his cheeks and got off of the couch to go upstairs and sleep.
"One thing is for sure. We are going to make a beautiful baby.", Mario said. "Let’s take a little nap.", he said and lifted me off of the ground.
"Put me down Mario!", I screeched.
"Nope we are going to sleep.", Mario said and began going up the stairs.
"Fine. But remember we have to go to the Christmas party.", I said, while holding on tight to Mario afraid of falling.
"I will. Now shush.", Mario said and went inside the room. He laid me down on the couch and kissed my cheek. "Go to sleep.", he said and began to walk off.
I shut my eyes trying to get some rest for the long night ahead of us. Maybe we are beginning to act like a “Family”. For now I want to keep trying to be the best person I can so when my little angel comes along, I will be ready for mother hood.
*3 hours later*
"Giselle wake up.", I heard Mario’s voice call out. "It’s time to get ready. You have half an hour to get ready", he said.
