Chapter 8

Michelle: I totally kicked your butt at air hockey.

Eldon: oh c'mon! I made that one shot.

Michell: but you missed.

Eldon: shhh! Nobody needs to know that!

*the two of them laugh and get into Eldon's car*

Michelle: I had a really fun time, Eldon.

Eldon: yeah me too. I'm really glad you decided to come with me.

Michelle: me too.

Eldon: so maybe we could do this again?

Michelle: only if that's what you want.

Eldon: heck yeah! *he says enthusiastically* I, um, yeah that would be cool. *he says chill*

Michelle: then I would love too.

Eldon: *smiles*

*eldon pulls into Michelle's driveway*

Michelle: well thanks again for taking me.

Eldon: and thanks again for joining me.

*eldon gets out of the car and opens the car door for Michelle to get out*

Michelle: um, I guess I'll talk to you later.

Eldon: yeah. Um, have a good night.

Michelle: I will.

*eldon and Michelle stand there for a few seconds until Eldon leans in to give Michelle a hug*

Michelle: *blushes and hugs Eldon back* haha, um, goodnight Eldon.

Eldon: goodnight Michelle.

Stephanie: I am surprised we came back home alive.

Chloe: Oh don't be that surprised.

Stephanie: you did good for all the pressure on you.

Chloe: *laughs* I kind of had too.

Stephanie: do you want to watch a movie.

Chloe: sure. I'm going to go upstairs and change into my pajamas.

Stephanie: oh yeah. Me too.

*the two girls walk into Chloe's room*

Chloe: did you hear that?

Stephanie: hear what?

Chloe: a door close.

Stephanie: oh. Your parents are probably home.

Chloe: no, they booked a hotel room.

Stephanie: well, it must just be...

Chloe: um, the wind probably flew the door open.

Stephanie: yeah. Yeah you're probably right.

Chloe: should we go check?

Stephanie: um, yeah. Just let me get my socks on. *Stephanie puts her socks on*

*the girls walk down the stairs quietly*

Stephanie: the fridge is open.

Chloe: hello? Who's there?

Carson: oh. Hey Chloe. *Carson says eating an apple*

Chloe: Carson? I thought you were on your class trip?

Carson: I was. Until a whole bunch of kids got sick and we had to come home.

Chloe: oh that's not good.
