Chapter 12

Keep Away

Trevor and Chance made up during the night at the hospital.  Trevor thought about what Lexy said during there agreement.  He didn't want to lose his little sister or his close friend.  He also knew he was wrong for not controlling his temper which could have gotten them both killed but if he did hurt Lexy next time it would be a higher building with no airbags.

Chance apologized for not telling him sooner.  He also promised to be good to Lexy because he really cared about her.  She was different and he wanted to settle down with her.

Both families met at the hospital at the same time to take the boys home.  Both sets of parents are making a huge fuss over there kids treating them like newborns.

So I thought that we could have a family night my mother says as we wait for the nurse to bring a wheelchair for Trevor.  He didn't want a chair but it was hospital rules.

I don't think so Ma.  I think I'm just going to go home and take a nice hot shower get a good meal and chill for the night say Trevor.

Well you can do all that at our house son she says.

We all three start to complain about my mothers suggestion saying what we had to do tonight.

Well let me say this again we are having a family night that includes all of us sleeping in the same house.  Now you'll can all pack a bag and stay with me and your father at our house or we can all pack a bag and stay at your house she says to Trevor while staring him dead in his eyes letting him know she mean business.

We can stay at your house Ma, Trevor says.

She then looks to her daughters who give her a nod.  Good we all agree.

Yea like we had a choice Trevor mumble.

That's when the door open and the nurse comes in pushing the wheelchair.  Trevor sees the pretty nurse and hops in the chair smiling like a clown.

For someone who didn't want a chair he hopped his ass up mighty quick says Lester to his wife.

When we get out into the hallway Chance and his parents are coming down the hall as well.  Chance's father is pushing him instead of a nurse which is fine with me,  I don't want to see pretty nurses grinning in his face as well.

Hey, Chance I say going over and leaning down to give him a hug while he sit in the wheelchair also.

Chance these are my parents Lester and Rosa.  Mom dad this is my boyfriend Chance. All the parents seems really tense.  What's up with them?

Hi, it's nice to met you'll finally says Chance.

Hello, my mother says with her fake smile the one she gives the ladies in her club that she really can't stand.  My dad just looks at him then Mr. Davis and Chance's mother looks at me and back to her husband.   And hell I look to Zoe and she's not even there what's up with her and the bathroom lately.  Of course Trevor half way down the hall flirting with the nurse.   This is freaking uncomfortably weird.

Well we should be going say Mr. Davis.  It was nice seeing all of you'll again.  Chance's mother rolls her eyes and mumbles under her breath as she walks off. 

I'll call you later babe Chance says touching my hand.  His father pushed him so hard and fast I thought he was going to have to stay and get an x-ray for whiplash.  I don't know it was possible for a push wheelchair to take off like that.  It would have been funny if it hadn't looked like it really hurt.

Dang Dad says Chance I'm tying to go home not get a neck brace he chuckle.

Sorry says Mr. Davis.  We just should get you home so you can rest. You have a big day tomorrow.

I'll call you Chance says leaning out the chair and looking back at me with his gourous smile.

I'm a little hurt it seems like our parents don't like each other or us being together.

Come on baby says my Ma while putting her arm around my shoulder let's go home.  Where's you sister? she says looking around.  Dad has caught up with Trevor and the nurse as they go out the exit.  He's probably going to get the car and pull it to the door.

She's probably in her new favorite place the bathroom.

The bathroom my mother ask?

Yeah, she's been looking green for the past few days.

Rosa made a mental note to keep an eye on Zoey tonight and see how many times she go to her new favorite place.

That night at my parents wasn't that bad.  It was nice for all us to be together.  Zoe and Trevor had moved out a few years ago so that left me alone a lot.    Sean even came by to see Trevor and we all watched movies.  I had been texting with Chance all night. 

He wanted to see me before he left tomorrow but his father was insisting on taking him to the airport.  He didn't know what was wrong with his parents but he just chalked it up to being they was scared because of his accident.

Chance said there was no way he was leaving and not see me tomorrow.  So he had a plan. He was going to let his father drop him off at the airport just like he wanted to off but earlier then he needed to be there.  He was then going to catch a cab to my place and spend a few hours with me and catch a cab back in time enough to make his flight.  All I had to do was be home. 

That night I planned to talk to Zoey about seeing her at the doctors off and if everything was alright.  She had went up to her old room to take a shower.  But by time Sean left and we went up to bed Zoey was already asleep.

I went to my room it feels normal to be in my old bed since I just left not to long ago.  I think about all the things that happened today.  How our parents reacted to me and Chance dating.  My father didn't even question me today about the club or anything else like he usually do.  Matter fact he didn't talk to much at all today. What's up with that I wonder?  I get up to go to the bathroom and I hear my parents walking by my bedroom door going to there room.

We will know for sure tomorrow my mothers says.

I think we have known for sure from the start says, my father.

Mmmmm wonder what's that all about.  But I'm going to bed I'm ready to see my sexy man tomorrow.  That's right I just remembered I better take my pill because tomorrow could be a big day for me I smile at the thought of  possibly having sex for the first time.

Meanwhile

Lexy parents are getting ready for bed. 

Rosa how are we going to tell her something like this.

I don't know Lester she is going to fucking hate me!

Your her one and only mother.  She will forgive you with time.  But she's going to have two fathers what if  she likes that bastrad  better then me.  What is she forget about me or just wants nothing to do with me. 

We just got to have faith Lester that she want disown us.  Let's just try and get some sleep Grandpa.

Grandpa what the hell you talking about?  Don't tell me you think Lexy's  pregnant.  You might as well call the funeral  home because I want live thru the night I will die in my sleep says Lester.

No, baby Zoey's ass pregnant ass hell.

How you know that she tell you and not me?

  No, she didn't say anything but I can tell.  So just prepare yourself not to snap at her she's always been a good girl and with our help she will continue to work and be fine.

I guess you right we have bigger things to worry about not saying that's no important.

Yeah baby I know. How many babies you think Trevor has already says Rosa?

Who the hell knows?  No one has came forward yet or he paid them all of.  But by time he's finished he will have a dam football team that's for sure says Rosa.
