Chapter 23

After having lunch with her mother and sister and waiting in the waiting room for an hour and half Beth and Randy finally came out of Chance's hospital room.  You could tell that Beth had been crying.  Her eyes was red and her face was puffy.

How is he? Lexy ask.

I'm not sure he wont say anything to me says Beth he just gives me a disappointing look.

Just give him a moment before you go in she says to Lexy.

She gives Beth a hug before she walks off even Rosa felt bad for her.  Rosa and Zoey walked her out while Lexy stayed behind to talk to Randy who is just walking out the hospital door.

How are you? she ask Randy. Looking into his eyes. 

I'm holding on.  He was very angry at his mother.  He is really tore up about about me not being his father and that you are my daughter.  But at the same time he is happy that you'll are not related.  He says it's alot to take in that he wanted to be alone and he would talk to us tomorrow. That's when we left him alone.

Do you think I should go in?

Yea!  You should at least say goodnight.

Do you want me to wait for you? ask Randy.

Lexy looks back at him from where she was standing at the door.  No you can go ahead she says giving him a weak smile.

Lexy knocks on the door lightly before going in to Chance's room.  All the lights are off.  The only light coming into the room is the light from under the door.  Lexy makes her way over to the bed but Chance wasn't in it.  He was sitting in the chair.

I thought you was gone, he says softly.

I been in the waiting room.  I wasn't going home until I know how you were.

I see why you ran off, Chance says.  If I didn't have to stay here for a few days I would have ran off too after hearing this crazy ass news about our parents.  How are you dealing with all this?

I had awhile to work it out and I'm still working on it.  I know how you feel.  The man that raised you not being your real father is a awful feeling.  They lied to us they cheated on there spouses.  But they learned from ther mistakes I'm sure.  Because they taught us to do better then them.   And I love my parents no matter there mistakes.

It's been driving me crazy dealing with everything alone and the man I love is sleeping thru it all because I ran off and he was in a plane crash trying to get back to me.

But we are now here with the same problems with a baby on the way.  And I'm scared we wont make it because we come from so many lies.   But I hoping you will work on it with me.  Because even though our parents made mistakes they are still together.  We was raised with a mother and father and I want the same for my baby.  Our baby.

I'm not going anywhere Lexy.  I just need a minute to work all this out in my head that's all.  Come here and sit with me.

With you or on you she giggles because this chair is not that big she says walking over to him. 

Don't worry I'm going to make room for my little mama he smiles at her. She settles down in his lap with him rubbing on her thigh. He kisses her while running his fingers thru her curly hair,

Are you tying to take my temperature she ask because something is poking. Maybe, they both laugh.

Well we know it's wasn't broken in the crash.  But no, not in the hospital you still deserve your first time to be speical says Chance but I think I deserve some when I get out of here.  It's crazy you having my baby and we haven't had sex yet. I know I need you to do me already she says.  I'm glad I'm already pregnant Dr. Ray says you have super sperm that next time I may have twins.

Twin huh?  I better get back to work so I can support my wife and kids.

Yes, we getting married says Chance.

Is that how you ask a girl to get married?

No, I was't asking.

Your taking charge I like it.  But not for awhile I'm only 21.

After you get this he has says moving his hips so his hard on is poking her in the butt your going to want to marry me the next day.   He stands up and take Lexy over to the bed hospital bed.  It's bed time sweet cheeks he says crawling in beside her pulling the cover up over them.

 Chance finally got cleared to leave the hospital.  His brother Daniel had flew in to see him and they decided to talk to there mother and also had a meeting with there biological father.  He was friends with his parents for years since they was in collage.  So they always knew him but it's different when he you find out that you are related. 

The meeting didn't go very well.  Daniel blow up half way thru lunch.  They was all upset at the lack of interest that John had in begin part of his sons life.  He even said that Randy been playing daddy this long why should he step up now that they was grown not little kids.  And that he wanted a test to make sure he was there father because he knew that there mother could get around that was the end of the lunch right then.

Beth talked to Randy about the lunch date and the things that John had said to the boys.  Randy didn't have a problem continuing being the kids dad he had no plans on stopping anyway.  But he promised to have words with John when he saw him.  But that would take awhile because John planned on flying back to Paris until things cooled down.

Randy still loved Beth and with everything out in the open they planned to work on there marriage.  He felt that they had been together to many years to just throw it away.
