Chapter 1
Olivia's POV:
My interest with music had started when I was quite young. I had always loved the sound of my own voice, but not when I spoke. I had always sung.
Of course, growing up, I had always heard about the glamourous lives of the rich and famous. I wanted to be one of them, singing on a stage in front of thousands. Having my own personal designers and stylists. Producing music. Being a role model.
But my parents had other plans for me.
Sure, I was only fourteen, but my parents had basically already planned out my future. They wanted me to be a doctor, and make a lot of money. They wanted me to inherit our mansion and be the most respected woman in the community.
I turned out winning the battle, though.
At age seventeen, I was discovered by Scooter Braun, the same man that discovered Justin Bieber, signed to the same record label, and taken into the studio to record an album just a week later. The team of stylists fixed my hair, did my makeup, and picked out my clothes for me any time I was to go anywhere important or popular.
A week after my first single was released, it hit number two on the charts, only behind a new Justin Bieber song. This accomplishment earned me a visit from the prince of pop music himself. He came to my family's Victorian-style mansion, accompanied by Scooter.
I was in my bedroom, wearing a hot pink off-the-shoulder cutoff tee and black capri leggings, practicing my dance moves because they needed a bit of work. I pressed play on my iPad and started dancing along to Want U Back by Cher Lloyd. I wanted to meet her so bad.
"Cher Lloyd has a great voice," I heard a familiar yet unfamiliar voice say about halfway through the song, but I didn't hear him come in, so I screamed a little and covered my mouth before turning and seeing him.
"Whoa! How long have you been there?" I asked, attempting to not freak out.
"Uhh... since the second grunt, I think," he chuckled.
"Why didn't you say anything?!" I said, a bit squeaky.
"You're a good dancer! I wanted to watch," he winked.
"You are literally the most successful eighteen year old in the world, with some killer dance moves, might I add, and you think that I dance well?" I asked, totally weirded out by the whole thing.
He nodded, "You've still got room to learn, though. We all do."
"Stay here, I'll be right back," I told him as I walked into the bathroom that was connected to my bedroom and shut the door.
I looked at my reflection. My golden-blonde hair was beach-wavy and tied up in a high bun with a few curls falling out. My green eyes were framed by long, dark, thick lashes and perfectly shaped eyebrows. I had naturally pink bow-shaped lips. I touched my blemishless, not-too-tan-but-also-not-pale skin. Was I ready to talk to Justin Bieber?
I noticed him admiring my girlish figure as I walked out of the restroom. I had been chubby when I was little, but I had quickly changed that after being teased about it by my parents. No eating disorders, though. I loved food too much for that. Instead, I exercised. I ran, jogged, jumped rope, rode my bicycle, swam laps in the pool(it was a luxury pool in a flexiglass dome connected to the back of the house), and rode and trained the family's horses(which were kept on our estate, we had nearly 1,000 acres, and cared for by the stablehands). With the fame, I added dancing, singing, practicing, and performing to that list. Let's just say, I only sat still to sleep.
"Nice place you've got here," Justin let out a low whistle. I sat next to him on my bed.
"Yeah, it's my parents'. It's nice, but I just feel like it's too much sometimes," I responded, looking at my feet.
"It's much better than I grew up in, you're very lucky," Justin looked mildly unhappy.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. Wow, Justin Bieber. In my room. And I'm asking him if he's okay?!
"Yes. I'm fine," he responded, but I could see deep in those amazing amber eyes that something wasn't right.
"I can tell that something's wrong, you can trust me," I told him.
"You're very observant, Olivia Mae Charlotte," Justin half-smiled, but it didn't quite reach his eyes.
"How did you know my middle name?" I asked Justin Bieber.
"I'm not the only one with my name all over the media," he winked.
"Alright, but you changed the subject," I reminded him.
Justin sighed, "I'm just still kind of upset about Selena and I's breakup... I know it was a couple of months ago, but I honestly thought that we might have been different from every other celebrity couple, but I guess not."
"I know that she probably meant a lot to you, but honestly, there's so many other girls out there that literally idolize you and would love to carry your children," he laughed at my response.
"You give good advice," Justin Bieber smiled at me. I blushed a little.
"Thanks, just trying to lighten the mood," I smiled at the ground.
"Maybe w-" but I would never know what Justin Bieber was going to say, because just then, Scooter Braun knocked on the door.
"Come in," I called out politely while Justin sighed.
"Hello, there, Olivia, darling! How are you and Justin getting along?" Scooter winked.
"Hi, Scooter," I responded with a polite smile, showing off my perfectly straight, professionally whitened teeth.
"Hi, Scooter," Justin echoed.
"Did I interrupt anything here?" Scooter smiled like someone that wanted to be interrupting something.
"No, just chatting," I responded politely. My parents had trained me in the way of manners, since they had all these big social events and parties where I had to meet(and be mildly charming towards) their important friends.
"Well, then I guess I'll have to be the one that makes this interesting," Scooter rolled his eyes.
"What do you mean?" I questioned. Justin's eyes widened.
"I mean you two. Can't you see it? Olivia Charlotte and Justin Bieber!" Scooter squealed like a fangirl.
"What are you up to, Scooter?" Justin raised an eyebrow at him.
"Guys, don't you understand!?" Scooter asked, obviously annoyed with us.
Justin and I shook our heads in unison.
"Justin Bieber and Olivia Charlotte... DATING!"
