Chapter 2
Olivia's POV:
"Justin Bieber and Olivia Charlotte... DATING!" Scooter fangirled over the idea as Justin and I just sat on the bed and tried to process it.
I had literally only been in the music world for a couple of months now... How was this even possible? What did this mean? To actually date Justin Bieber... Wow. This guy was literally my idol. I didn't know what to do. Was this a dream? I pinched myself.
"Ouch," I said quietly, nope, not a dream.
"Well?" Scooter tapped his foot, as if expecting us to be all excited about it.
"Well, what?" Justin asked.
"Do you like the idea?" Scooter raised both eyebrows and crossed his arms.
"Um, I just think tha-" I started, but got interrupted.
"Good, because it's not an option. Olivia, you need the publicity, and what better way to get it than to be Justin Bieber's girlfriend? Plus, Justin, the paparazzi has been getting bored with you lately. If you go out on a couple of dates with Olivia, you get them guessing. Then, at your next interview, they ask you who the girl is, you say Olivia Charlotte. BOOM! Instant reaction. There's gonna be love and hate for you, Olivia, but tons and tons of people will look you up, become your fan, follow you on twitter, and buy your music. We'll get paps to snap pictures of you two out to dinner, at the beach, at carnivals, kissing, and touring," Scooter fantisized.
"Wait, what was that last one?" I asked, trying to keep my calm.
"Oh, yes, and we've already set up a tour for you guys together. Hopefully, this will become more than just a publicity stunt for the sake of you two, but hey, if not, that's your problem. You won't break up unless told otherwise, understood?" Scooter smiled.
"This is a lot to put on us, Scooter," Justin said seriously.
"I know, but everyone at the label has already agreed to it. I'll need both of you to sign here," Scooter produced a piece of paper from his pocket. This wasn't an option.
"What if we don't?" I asked.
"Blackmail," Scooter shrugged, "Really, kids, can this be that bad? You're both famous, and neither of you are hard on the eyes at all. Well, actually, you're both very attractive! It'll be fine."
Justin and I both signed the paper, neither of us seeing any way out of this.
"Do our parents know?" I asked.
"No, and you can't tell ANYONE. Not even your parents. This secret stays between us, and if anyone else finds out, you can be sure that your lives will be hell," Scooter threatened.
So, in other words, this was a big deal.
"C'mon. Let's go downstairs and talk to Olivia's parents," Scooter smiled cheerily and ran ahead of us.
"I'm so sorry, Olivia. I had no idea," Justin whispered.
"It's fine, fame causes this crap. We'll deal with it," I shrugged, but the anger was evident in my tone. I swallowed my pride.
'You wanted to be famous, you'll pay the price,' I told myself.
"Wh-"
"No, let's just go downstairs, holding hands, and looking like a happy couple," I said to him, not feeling especially patient at the moment.
Justin grabbed my hand and I felt a spark, but I ignored it, figuring it was probably just anger about my freedom being taken away. I felt used, but whatever. It was show time, because if we couldn't convince my parents, we couldn't convince anybody. I stood a little closer to Justin and put on my best bubbly-happy face, and Justin did the same.
