Chapter 4
Olivia's POV:
"We're here, darling," Justin shook my shoulder to wake me up. We were in our Caribbean car, which was a metallic blue Range Rover.
"Where's here?" I mumbled, opening my eyes just enough to see Justin's lovely auburn ones looking straight at me.
"Our bungalow," Justin smirked as he got out of the car and came over to open the door for me.
I grabbed my sandals in my hand and I was about to step out when Justin said, "Oh, no you don't!" And carried me bridal-style into the bungalow, with the driver behind lugging our suitcases along with him.
"This isn't neccessary, you know," I rolled my eyes at him. He just smiled.
"Well, why not?" he leaned down and whispered into my ear in his deep voice as he set me down inside of the bungalow. His voice gave me the chills. "Are you cold?"
"No..." I mumbled, but he pulled me into his arms anyway. I didn't want to let go, but I needed to.
On the plane, I had decided that I wasn't going to involve myself in this relationship more than I needed to, in private at least. In public, I would let myself be happy, even if it was just for publicity. Justin was just so... perfect. He still had feelings for Selena, too. The thing was, if he turned out not having the same feelings for me that I had for him, I'd be crushed. Of course, the problem was that I never knew if he was doing what he was doing for the public, or lust, or because he genuinely liked me. If I asked him, it would just make things awkward. We were technically a couple anyway...
"You okay, baby?" He snapped me out of my wild thoughts, whispering into my ear and making me shiver again.
"Yes, I'm fine," I said unconvincingly.
Justin looked into my eyes with a serious expression on his face, like he was making a huge decision.
"What are you thinki-" but before I could finish my question, Justin had obviously made his decision.
He slammed his lips into mine and I kissed him back without giving it a second thought. His hands pressed against the wall that I hadn't remembered being up against, then changed his mind and wrapped his arms around my waist, drawing me closer to him. I didn't refuse, I just slipped my arms around his neck and kissed him right back. He smiled a bit against my lips, but didn't break the kiss. Our lips moved in sync, and then we both heard it.
The camera click.
Both of us froze for a second, not knowing what to do. I pulled away first, searching for the source of the sound, but all I saw was the driver holding his iPhone. I just couldn't put two and two together.
"Did you just take a picture of us?" Justin growled at the driver. He just nodded and showed Justin the picture. I had to admit, we looked pretty great together.
"I cannot delete this," the short man said, brown eyes pleading with Justin's auburn ones.
"And why not?" Justin asked impatiently.
"I need money, my apologies," he said, ran off of our dock, climbed into the driver's seat of the Range Rover, and drove away quickly. Justin didn't even bother chasing him.
"Whatever," Justin snapped at the man who couldn't hear him.
I wasn't sure what to think. Did Justin kiss me because he knew that the man would photograph us? Did he pay the man to do so? I didn't think so, because Justin sounded pretty pissed about the whole thing, I just couldn't help but wonder...
"Let's go, I need to clear my head," he said and grabbed a pair of odd looking keys. I grabbed his arm to stop him.
"You know that I'm to young to go drinking, right?" I looked at him worriedly. He just laughed.
"Babe, we're not going drinking, we're going out on the boat," he smiled and jingled the keys. I laughed and remembered that we were both wearing our swimsuits already, so I just slipped my sandals on and followed him out to the sports car of a boat.
We drove the boat out a while and eventually ended up on a beach with few people. After tying up the boat, Justin helped me down from the boat. He didn't let go of my hand the whole time we were at the beach.
We stayed at the beach all day.
***
Back at the bungalow, we took our individual showers. I let my long hair air-dry and fall down my back into it's natural waves after I brushed it out. I pulled on a pair of comfy black shorts and a slouchy pink and black sweatshirt. I took a moment to admire James' handiwork on my nails, knowing that he must've gotten the heads-up on this trip since he had insisted upon a French mani-pedi with a polish that lasted weeks unless a special polish remover is used.
Justin was waiting for me in the living room, wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt.
"Hey, girl," he smiled and motioned for me to come sit by him as he turned the TV off.
"What's up?" I asked him.
"Let's go for a sunset beach walk," Justin winked and pulled me up to my feet.
