THE•PLAN

Jonah's POV

Okay, so the winter formal was coming up and of course, I wanted to ask Zach to it. But, I need to come up with a plan. No, the plan. A plan that shows Zach how much I love and care for him, and that I don't care what people think of us in public.

"Ugh, Corbyn I have no idea what to do?!?" I say frustrated through the phone. I put the phone on speaker before frantically pacing around my room.

"Bro just chill. We already know that he'll say yes to you. He's head over heels for you." Corbyn says.

"Well yeah but where do I ask him. How do I do it??" I ask frustrated again. I start to tug on my hair. I just want to make him happy and feel loved, not that I don't make him feel loved anyways.

"Okay, Jonah first off you need to chill. Second, let us meet up with Daniel and Jack and see what they think we should do and they can help you. Okay?" Corbyn says calmly.

"Um yeah sure. What time?" I ask him checking my watch that is strapped onto my left wrist.

"The boys said that they are free right now and can meet up at the park, so can you make it now?" He asks me.

"Um... yeah sure. See you then Corbyn" I say quickly an hang up on him.

I set my phone down and quickly threw on some shoes and a jacket. I grab my phone off my bed and run down the stairs of my house before sprinting to the park forgetting that I have a car. The cold Minnesota air sending goosebumps throughout my body.

I make it to the park in about 3 minutes seeing the boys sitting and talking on a bench. I quickly run over to them, stopping once I reach the bench.

"Woah Jonah you good?" Jack asked looking at me.

"No. I have no idea how to ask Zach to the winter formal!!!" I say frustrated plopping down onto the bench next to them.

"Okay. Let's starts slowly..." Daniel says, "what are some things Zach likes to do or places to see?" Daniel asks.

"...I can ask him at the homecoming game?" I say unsure.

"Okay. So do you want to ask him there or somewhere else?" Corbyn asks me.

"I don't know? Guys I'm stressing here. Help a guy out" I say.

"I say that it's a great idea." Jack says.

"Yeah, plus it shows our school, and the other school that same sex couples are no different than other couples." Daniel adds.

"Yeah! Okay so how are you going ask him?" Corbyn asks me, my face if relief quickly vanishing.

"I got it!"  I say to them. They all lean in close, ready to hear what I have to say.
