Sebastian Matus peered out the window of the airplane to what he hoped was Boston, excited to see where his life would take him. He remembered his father informing him that the girl revealed in the prophesy was rumored to be in the area where he was to begin training. Sebastian huffed and rolled his eyes at hearing that; he refused to believe that his entire life was already mapped out.
Then, he remembered the girl from his dreams...all the girls...there were four.. Three were younger: one, a foreigner from down under, rather punky and playful with a lovely singing voice.
The second had long purple hair and green eyes. Wolf, he knew that he absolutely adored the girl.
And then, there was the shy, demure blond-haired girl...this one, he called Doctor Doolittle, because she could actually talk to animals; she had a rather calming effect on him.
The last one was older, a pretty brunette, nice body and a snarky attitude...he liked her the most...SHE lit him on fire...
He realized after years of dreaming of these females, he had come to love them all. And he wondered if one of them was, The One...
Was he truly destined to meet his soul mate soon? Just the mention of her sent pterodactyls straight to his stomach. He nudged his best friend Topher awake.
"Oi...Topher, wake up mate...you're drooling."
Christopher Massey groaned as he opened his eyes, feeling the slight weight of his girlfriend Judy snuggled tightly to him. "Are we there yet?"
"There's lights below and the Captain just announced that we'd be arriving soon."
"Right." He kissed the top of Judy's head. "Come on Love. We're just about here..."
Sebastian turned away from the window to see her eyes fluttering open. "Oh..." she muttered as she stretched her legs as far as the seat in front of her would allow; Sebastian thought she looked rather feline-esque. "Did you get any rest, Topher?"
"A bit, yeah."
"A bit my arse. I've got a huge wet spot on my shoulder," Sebastian teased.
Judy giggled. "Oh yeah? Hmm...well now, that's a new one!"
"Not really," Topher replied. Bastian's been in my wet spot before."
"Arse," Sebastian grumbled as Judy giggled once again.
Within a half hour, the three Britons were standing in the nearly deserted area of Boston's international airport with their luggage awaiting their liaison. Two men in Marine fatigues ambled up to them finally. "Matus, Massey?"
"Aye Sir," Sebastian said.
GunnySargent Adams grinned. "I ain't no Sir, Cadet. I work for a living." He looked Judy up and down and nodded his head. "Ma'am..."
Judy clung tightly to Topher and feigned a smile. "Good morning," she said quietly.
"Have you secured all your luggage, Sir?"
Sebastian looked around. "I believe so?" He looked toward Judy. "Got all your luggage Jay?"
"Yes, thanks."
The two cadets looked toward the two enlisted men standing reverently before them; the two boys already out-ranking them. Both Sebastian and Topher believed that respect was earned, especially if you were the new guy; they were aware that they had much to learn and these men might end up being their teachers...neither wanted it harder than it had to be. "Once we get there, is it far to our accommodations?"
