Sebastian knelt down between George and Alison, wondering if he should awaken them. He looked to Topher and noting the text sent from James, he advised that he wait. Being a man of action, Sebastian was not one to sit around waiting and it vexed him greatly.
"I've got a really bad feeling, Toph," Sebastian told him.
"Me too. I'll wait here and activate the GPS in James's earring and you get ready. I'll alert A-team to meet you at a rendezvous that I'll pick out when I figure out where he is."
Sebastian nodded and emerged from the yard. He arrived in a fortified room in the sub-basement of his house. He nearly tore open a locker and withdrew a black suit of Dragon-scale armor. He received a text from Topher, instructing him to wear an external breathing apparatus along with an address. Once he was dressed, he took hold of his weapons as well as his wand and on a hunch, he opened another locker that was empty, save a thin wooden box. He withdrew the box and carefully opened it. Inside was the wand that had belonged to Alison's grandmother. He added it to his arsenal, lowered his face shield and activated the breathing apparatus, disappearing from the room.
He found his men who were either already in place, or scouting. They activated their shielding that rendered them invisible to Mundanes and entered the building, careful to avoid any
firefighters, which Sebastian and his number two man Smythe thought odd because there didn't appear to be any. They entered the large room where small explosions were being set by stiffly-moving, odd-looking people. but really, he smelled them before he actually saw one of them.
Sebastian sought one of them out and turned the person around and immediately released his hold on it as he realized he was staring into a pair of clouded, dead eyes. The stench was thick and smelled like rotted meat and he huffed out the foul taste in his mouth; his eyes were watering and he continued to breathe through his mouth...the breathing apparatus apparently only worked its magic for the smoke...
"Jesus Christ! What the hell are these things," Smythe called out."
"Not sure," Sebastian replied, grimacing. "I know what it looks like, but what it is exactly...?"
"TomCat located at your nine and Boss, there is a woman at your twelve...Correction, she is, but she isn't."
"Alison," Sebastian whispered.
"What's that, Boss," Smythe asked as he subdued a wraith with a water effect from his wand. "Salt water, Boss...try salt water..."
Sebastian shook his head and continued to circle the incendiary weapons, looking for a way in to retrieve his son. He saw Alison pleading for James's attentions through the fire and smoke, as the wraiths attempted to pull her toward the bombs; she was steadfast and they were unable to move her, but one of them had it's arms around her and when it moved it's arms along her arms, he noted that she had been burned and his heart fell...it appeared thy she wasn't immune to their effects.
A pair of arms circled around his shoulders and he turned his head, but only barely, to view the grayish-green half decomposed skin of a wraith. He easily turned in the wraith's arms and grinned at it."You want a piece of me?"
The wraith was as big as he was.
Sebastian stared the wraith down for a few seconds feeling his tongue on the canines that were lengthening within his mouth. And then, he heard Alison's voice loud and clear over the white noise ringing in his hybrid ears along with his quickening pulse. There was an explosion directly behind the dead creature and two more wraiths were thrown into him. He looked at them from the flat of his back. He heard his son's voice above the din and turned his head to watch him fight the wraiths off, using his wand as well as his own strength. "Cub..."
