Chapter 9

I was laying on the couch in Theo's arms staring at his beautiful face.
Hailee:"You're so perfect."
Theo:"So are you."
Suddenly I remember I forgot to text my mom where I'm at.
She's worrying right now.
I grab my phone on the table and check for any messages.
Theo:"What's wrong?"
Hailee:"Didn't tell my mom where I'm at."
Theo:"Haileeee."
He drags the e.
Hailee:"Sorry."
I read the text.

Mom--  Can you come home please? Where are you?...we need to talk about me and your dad getting back together.

Did I read properly?
Is my parents really getting back together?
Hailee:"My parents are getting back together."
Theo:"Wow,that's great."
Hailee:"Uhm I have to go."
Theo:"Okay I'll take you."
We got dressed quickly and he takes me back home.
Oh I am so happy for my parents. How did they even  get back together? My dad probably had to apologize to her,pouring his heart out to her,telling him how much he misses her and loves her.
Oh well.

When I arrive, I walk inside and my parents are eating at the table.
I stood and watched them like a stranger. They were laughing at jokes that weren't even funny, to be honest.
My mom jumped when she saw me.
Mom:"How long have you been standing there?"
Hailee:"Not long."
Kate:"Where were you?"
Hailee:"Uhm, study at Max's house."
Kate:"Study?"
Hailee:"Yeah, for this uhm science test tomorrow."
Liar!,you were screwing Mr James. My inner voice yells.
Kate:"Okay."
John:"Good luck with that test."
Hailee:"Thanks."
Kate:"Come,sit."
I sat at the table and look at my parents holding hands.
Hailee:"Oh you guys."
I group hugged with them.
Hailee:"I am so happy mom and dad."
Kate:"And this time we promised that we not going to divorce again. We'll make it work."
Hailee:"What made you two get back together again?"
Kate:"Well your father said he still loves me and he apologised."
I knew it.
My dad cheated on my mom more than once,that's why she wanted a divorce.
I smile at the lovebirds.
John:"I miss Kate,and you. I miss us."
Hailee:"So uhm,the wedding?"
Kate:"Oh honey,we haven't discussed that yet but I don't want a fancy wedding again."
John:"Yes,nothing fancy and not much people either."
Hailee:"Great."

Next Day
It was lunch and I was sitting at the table with Lana and Max.
Hailee:"Guys,my parents are gonna marry again."
Lana:"That's great!"
Max:"Really?"
I look at Max.
Hailee:"Yes."
Max:"That's great."
He seemed happy about it. Thank god he's over her.
Max:"So when's the wedding?"
Hailee:"I don't know yet."
I munch on my sandwich.
Lana:"Party at my house,who's coming?"
Max:"Me."
Hailee:"I don't know."
Lana:"Come on there will be a lot of sexy guys there. All my friends are gonna be there."
Hailee:"Oh okay."
Lana:"Yes!"

In  math class I payed attention. Alright, I'm starting to get this geometry.
We were not allowed to talk so Max and Lana were texting about the party.

Kate's POV
I was cleaning the kitchen when I heard Hailees phone beep...the whole time.
My daughter never leaves her phone at home. I looked on her phone in her room.
Unread messages from Max and from Theo James...even a miss call too. Who is Theo James?
I decide not to read her messages, it would be rude of me and she'd be angry.
Theo James... I placed my hand on my chin.
Is it her boyfriend?
Could be... But she'd tell me if she had a boyfriend.
I sigh and continued with my cleaning.

Hailees POV
Max:"Hey,hey would you read my texts."
Hailee:"Huh?"
Max:"Where's your phone?"
I reach in my jean pocket for the phone...no phone.
Crap...I don't have it.
Hailee:"I must've forgotten it at home."
Mr James:"No talking."
I look at Theo.
Hailee:"Sorry sir."
