Summer Love Wasn't For Us

Part 2

A few days after the fair Bucky picked up Emberlynn to go with him and his friends to the lake and go swimming and they had a blast she had her blonde hair up in a bun with her aviators on and he was holding her in the lake and he kissed her and said "This is going to be the best summer ever." 

Nat looked at Steve and said "He's going to hurt her." 

"No he's not." Steve said

"Steve she told me that this is going to be a summer fling for them they know that it would be hard to be together going to two different high schools. She's going to get hurt every girl that he's ever dated falls hard with the way he treats them." Nat said 

Steve looked down and said "This isn't going to end well Nat." as they watched them flirt and laugh with each other and have fun with each other. Later that night they were laying in the hammock in her back yard and making out underneath the stars and he whispered "Baby are you a virgin." 

"no.. and I'm on the shot." she said 

"Good." he said as he started kiss her again as he slid his hand down her shorts and started to play with her as she moaned in his kisses as she started to get off and she slid her hand down his shorts and she started to play with him till he got off. Around midnight she walked him to his truck and they kissed goodnight and he left. 

She walked in and her dad was in the kitchen and he said "Baby girl are you sure you are going to be ok at the end of the summer."

She wiped tears and said "Daddy I don't know." as she got up and went to her room. She cried herself to sleep she could feel it already starting to happen. 

The next day they spent the day at the park playing basketball with his friends and then went his house where his dad was grilling out burgers and hot dogs and she got to go swimming with him in his pool. He drove her home and kissed him good night and he said "Emberlynn you ok."

"Yeah I'm just really tired." she said 

"Good night beautiful" he said 

"Good night Bucky." she said as she got out of his truck and got her bag and went in.

A few weeks later was the 4th of July and Steve's birthday they went to Steve's lake house for his birthday. They started to drink and roast marshmallows and make smores and set off fire works and swim in the lake. That night they were upstairs in his room and they started to kiss in the bed and he went to pull down her panties and she said "No.. I can't"

"Baby what's wrong." he said

She closed her eyes she was afraid to tell him the truth and said 'Do you have condoms I just got my shot." 

"yeah I do." he said 

He got a condom out and they started to get undressed and he pushed into her once he got on top of her and they were both equally loud. Steve and Nat were down the hall and could hear them and Nat said "No Emberlynn." 

"What." Steve said 

"She's already getting attached them having sex is going to make it worse." she whispered 

"Oh no.."Steve said 

After they finished they both laid there and he said "You alright darlin."

She closed her eyes and said "Yeah I'm fine." 

She fell asleep as tears fell down her cheeks and he rolled to his side and felt a few tears of his own. The next morning she was in the shower when he got up and saw her mascara smears and he bit his lip and went downstairs and Nat was in the kitchen and she said "what the hell are you doing Bucky." 

"I'm trying to wake up." he said 

"No what the hell are you doing to that girl." she said

"You know why there is mascara smears on her pillow." he said 

"I do but I want her to tell you the truth. I knew this was a bad idea from the beginning" She said as she left the room. 

Emberlynn came in and said "I'm ready to go home." 

Bucky had his head down and he looked up said "Emberlynn did I hurt you last night." 

"No why would you think that." she said 

"There is mascara smears on your pillow." he said as he walked over to her. 

She bit her lip and said "I just um" 

"Emberlynn just be honest with me." he said 

"I get attached easily Bucky.. I'm gonna get hurt." she said 

He kissed her and said "Sweetheart it's ok.. that's what summer love is right." 

She looked at him and said "I guess so." 

"That's why I made sure you weren't a virgin I didn't want to take it if you were." he said as he wiped her tears. 

He hugged her and said "We can do this." 

Tears fell down his cheeks and Nat saw them as she was about to come back in and then went back into her room and said "Steve it's not just her getting attached Go look hurry." 

Steve went down and saw them hugging and Bucky crying quietly trying to be strong for her. Steve walked back to Natasha's room and said "Summer Love sucks."
