Summer Love Wasn't For Us

3 weeks later

They were sitting on the back of his truck 3 days before school was suppose to start and he said "So I guess this is goodbye" 

"yeah.' she said as she wiped tears 

"Emberlynn baby please don't cry." he said 

"I can't help it I told you." she said as she got off his tail gate and went to her jeep and opened up her passenger door and pulled his hoodie and his t shirts and then a envelope and she gave them to him and he opened the envelope and saw all the pictures she took over the summer of them. 

He smiled and said "Thank you Emberlynn. I'll never forget you baby and who knows I might see you around town.." 

She cried and said "Goodbye" 

She got her keys and got into her jeep and he said "Emberlynn.." 

She pulled out of the riverside and he wiped tears as he looked down and saw the picture of them at the fair. He punched his truck tailgate when he closed it. "Summer love Bucky what the fuck was you thinking falling for a girl that you were just going to break up with at the end of the summer' he said to himself 

She cried all the way home and her dad seen and hugged her and said "Baby I told you it was going to be hard." 

She cried for 3 days straight never left her bed and Bucky was in the same boat as her. He didn't even want to go to the back school cook out him and his friends have every year. They both went to their open houses at their high schools and did their back to school shopping and got ready for their junior year of high school. 

She got her outfit laid out for the first day of school and got her back pack together. He got his backpack together and cleaned out his truck and he found one of her many hair ties and he smiled and put it on his gear shift and whispered "Always with me baby." as he opened his glove box and pulled out their pictures and went through them and whispered "I miss you darlin." 

He pulled his phone out and hovered over her name to send a text but ultimately changed his mind. She was at the car wash and cleaned her jeep and then putting the windows and top back on. 

It was the first day of school she sighed as she walked into her school and bit her lip as she wished so badly that she was attending Bucky's school. Bucky pulled into the student parking lot secretly wishing he would see her jeep in the parking lot. 

Nat seen him and saw sad he looked as he got out of his truck. Steve said "Did you get into an accident?'

"No why?' he said

"There's a huge dent in your tailgate." Steve said 

"I punched my truck ok." he said 

"Buck..." Nat said 

"Forget it Nat it's over." he said as he walked away from his friends. 

Sam said "That boy fell hard for her." 

"Yeah clearly look what he did." Steve pointed to where he punched his truck 

Sam shook his head and said "Barnes in love is depressing." 

All day long Emberlynn didn't speak to anyone not even to her friends and wasn't very cheery at her cheerleading practice. Bucky used his anger in football at practice.
