Bucky meets Emberlynn at the county fair and they find out they are from rival high schools and when summer is over they end their relationship but when their high school football teams play each other she's a cheerleader and seeing him again makes...
It was the day of her baby shower they had finished Joshua's room a few days before and Emberlynn couldn't wait to put the finishing touches on it. Winnie threw the baby shower in her living room and they opened so many clothes and diapers and bottles. Nat and Steve got them a baby monitor and lullaby machine. Clint and Wanda got them a letter J that had footballs all over it and Sam and his girl Sadie got them a diaper bag.
Emberlynn thanked everybody for their gifts and hugged everybody and then Bucky and his dad helped get everything downstairs except the clothes Winnie helped Emberlynn get them washed and folded before she put them away. Then Winnie had Bucky take the basket downstairs for Emberlynn and helped her put it all away.

"Gosh just 2 more months till he's here baby." he said as they finished up.
"I know I'm started to get nervous." she said as she sat in the chair and rubbed her stomach.
"Then next summer we get married on our 2 year anniversary." he said
She smiled and said "I know I'm excited for that too."
He helped her up and they turned off the light and went to bed.
*2 months later*
It was Christmas Eve they were all having dinner at Winnie's she had her elbows on the table and her face in her hands and she was counting quietly. No one noticed at first then Winnie said "Emberlynn everything alright."
"Baby.." he said
Winnie got up and felt her stomach when she came over to her and said "Oh no."
"What mom what is it is Joshua ok." he said
"Come with me sweetheart" Winnie said as she helped her up and then said "Bucky come with me"
Winnie took them both downstairs and into their bedroom and said "ok sweetie you know that I"m a labor and delivery nurse I know what to do. I'm going to check you."
She pulled her dress up and pulled her underwear down and with a pair of gloves on and said "Oh Ember honey we have to go now and pray to God you make it."
She started to cry and Bucky said "Mom what do you mean.'
"She's in labor James get the stuff and get her in the car unless you want her to have the baby without medicine." Winnie said
Bucky went running into the nursery and got the diaper bag and their bag and WInnie said "James Mark hurry get in the cars. "
Bucky helped Emberlynn to her car and they drove as quickly as they could to get her to the hospital in time. Mark said "I'll get her checked in you get her upstairs guys"
She started to crown and she screamed "OH GOD SOMETHING IS HAPPENING"
A nurse put her in a wheel chair and try to hurry and get up to labor and delivery and she was screaming "Winnie he's coming out."
They got off the elevator and the nurse said "We don't have time to get her to a room to another nurse and they grabbed a gurney and put her on it and she started to scream and Bucky grabbed her hand and said 'baby breathe I know this hurts but breathe and relax."
She looked up at him with tears streaming down her cheeks and said "This hurts."
"Shh it's ok baby I'm right here." he said
She started to push without trying to push and the nurse said "Emberlynn stop pushing."
"I'm not trying to." she said
The doctor came into the hall way and said "ok Ms Tatum we need you to calm down I know this hurts but you have to calm down."
He got up on the bed and seen that little Joshua was almost out and he said "Good god."
"How long have you been in labor Ember" Winnie said
"I thought they were fake contractions cause they didn't hurt and um I um I think I might of thought my water breaking around 4 was me leaking pee." she said
"Ember baby you never said a word." he said
"Cause I didn't know everyone told me that they are suppose to hurt and I was walking up the stairs to help with dinner when I started to leak I didn't know." she said
Then she started to scream as she started to push again. Then they heard "WAH WAH WAH WAH"
"Daddy cut the cord." the doctor said and the nurse gave Bucky the clamp and Emberlynn laid her head down and started to cry and the nurse said "Sorry honey" as she cut her dress open and then the other nurse laid him on her chest. Then she said "Oh god baby boy you scared me."
Bucky had tears falling and said "Little Joshua James welcome to the world and Merry Christmas." then kissed Emberlynn.
"Let's get you all to a room now shall we." the nurse said
Bucky picked up their stuff that he dropped when they said they weren't going to make it to a room. He followed her and the nurses to their hospital room and they took Joshua to get him cleaned up and measured and footprints. Another nurse found Emberlynn a gown and socks told her all the things she had to do for the next 4 to 6 weeks to heal up. Then she was alone with Bucky and he walked over to her and kissed her and said "Baby you scared me you never said anything felt wrong."
She said "I"m sorry Buck.. I honestly didn't know. It wasn't a gush and the contractions didn't hurt till half way through dinner."
He kissed her and said "Well now we know for next time."
"He's beautiful Buck. He looks just like you." she said
He smiled and said "I know baby."
The nurse came in and said "Oh mama and daddy little man is 8lbs and 8oz 21 inches long and some how has stolen all the hearts in the nursery with the nurses with these big blue eyes. Mama you got a heartbreaker."
Emberlynn smiled and said "Don't I know it." as she got him to latch to her and looked down at him. She looked at him and started to play with his tiny fingers and Bucky sat beside her on the bed and said "Baby let's get married on New Years Eve."
"Yeah?'" she said
"Yeah let's not wait till next summer." he said
She smiled and said "I like that idea."
Everyone started to come in and her dad said "Emberlynn baby you are just as strong as your mama to bad she couldn't be here to see her daughter be just like her."
"Mama is always here daddy I always feel her she is my angel." she said
Everyone got to love on little Joshua and they told them that they wanted to get married on New Years Eve.
Winnie was able to decorate her living room and stairs for the wedding and since it was just family and a few friends she made dinner for the reception and the reception was in her kitchen.
