Chapter 1: Spanish Class

Jay's POV (Thursday)
*beep beep beep*
My alarm clock reads 6:30AM. I reach to hit the snooze button on my alarm clock as I spend another 5 minutes in bed. "Ohh snappp!! I got Spanish first period."  I said to myself. I ran to use the bathroom, brush my teeth, and wash my face.
*buzz buzz*
My phone vibrates as it sits face up on the counter of my sink. It's a text message from Tee, my best friend.

Tee: "Yo Jay you going to that homecoming after party on Saturday?"
Me: "Hell yeah I'm tryna book some bitches you
feel  me🤪"
Tee: "Facts bro but only if Asia let you😂"
Me: "yeah ard bro shut the fuck up😂💀"

I put my phone on my bed as I walked back in my room to pick out my outfit for today. I picked out a gray hoodie, black joggers and my black and white Jordan 11s. I got in my car and and stopped at McDonald's to get a hash brown and some orange juice. I pull up to school at 7:30. My first period doesn't start until 8:00. I wish it would hurry up. I really wanna see Kelsey😍

8:00
*bell rings*
Mr. Garcia: "Come in and take your seats"

I walk to the back of the classroom and sit in my seat. Kelsey is always there before me. I start to
worry that she won't come to school today. I look up and see her walking towards me. I notices that she has a mark under here eye and i want to asks her what happened but her beauty distracts me from it.

Mr. Garcia: "As you can see on the board i put you all in groups of two"

I looked on the board hoping that Kelsey is my partner.

Mr. Garcia: "find your partner and get to work your assignment is on page 213 in your workbook. Read the directions and if you need help let me know."

My partner isn't here so i opened the book and did the work by myself. 20 minutes past by and don't understand what to do. I mean Kelsey doesn't have a partner so i can asks her for help or i could ask Mr. Garcia... Asking Kelsey seems like the better option

Me: "excuse me, umm would you mind helping me with this? I don't really understand it."
Kelsey: "sure i would love to☺️"
Me: "I'm jay by the way😌 what's your name beautiful😍?"
Kelsey: "kelsey"

I obviously already knew her name was Kelsey but i didn't wanna seem like a creep because we never really talked before. My timing was bad because i chose to ask for help 5 minutes before class was over. I needed to be quick and figure out a way to get her number...AHHAH! I got an idea; I'm gonna ask to hold her phone and put my number on it and text myself from her phone😌 As Kelsey began to pack her book bag i stopped her and caught her attention...

Me: "aye Kelsey, can i hold your phone real quick?"
Kelsey: "why?"
Me: "I need to check something real quick and i don't have my phone"

She hands me her phone and i put my number in it. Jackpot 🤩 i might just be getting somewhere with her😌
