Chapter 8: Something's Different

Jay's POV
Friday

I wake up at 6:30 A.M as i do every morning. I go to the bathroom, complete my morning routine and pick out my outfit.  Today I am wearing a plain white T-shirt, black jeans and my black and white Jordan 13s. I look at myself in the mirror to make sure I look spiffy. I grab my backpack and head out the door to my car. Since my first class doesn't start until 8:00 i drive around the city and stop to get a bite to eat. I hook my phone up to the aux cord and bump a little Tupac. Spanish isn't my first period today because my schedule rotates everyday. To be honest that doesn't matter to me just as long as i get to see Kelsey.

* Incoming call from Tee*

Me: "hello"

Tee: " woe wassup dummy!"

Me: "what it do dummy"

Tee: "nun much G. Whats going on witchu? you till going to the party tomorrow right?"

Me: "hell yeah you know it."

Tee: " does Asia approve of this?"

Me: "man fuck that cheating ass bitch. I got my eyes on somebody else"

Tee: "aww shit bro tell me tomorrow."

Me: "Ard bet bro but imma call you back cuz i just pulled up to school".

*hangs up phone*

I hop out of my car and walk into school. I've never been excited to come to school until i got a chance to speak to Kelsey. Walking through the hallways I see her and the 3 other girls she normally hangs out with. I ain't gonna lie to you. Her friends bad a shit😍. I only want Kelsey. I walk up to her and give her a side hug. I dap the rest of her friends up because i don't want to be rude. i notice that she has more marks on her face. Something doesn't seem right. She always has bruises and scars on her face. In that moment i wanted to ask her what happened but i didn't want to embarrass her in front of her friends. As i walk to my first period i hear Jada,one of Kelsey's friends say "Kelsey she's cute".  I look back and wink at her. Jada's cute too but i want Kelsey.
