Cody said, "Okay I think we should let her rest."

We nodded and started to walk out when Easter said, "Clem, please stay."

I looked at Cody who smiled and nodded.

I sat down on AJ's bed.

She said, "Clem, can I ask you something?"

I answered cautiously, "Sure."

She said, "Do you like Louis?"

I chocked on my breath, "What?"

She said bluntly, "Do you like Louis?"

I don't know how to answer that. Do I like Louis? I mean he's cute. "Maybe, I don't know."

She smirked. I think I blushed.

She said still smirking, "I'll take that as a yes."

My face got warmer.

I said, "Okay you know my secret. What's yours?"

"I ... I'm ... I ..." she stuttered extremely nervously.

I said reassuring, "It's okay I promise not to tell if you do."

She said, "I promise."

"I promise."

She relaxed and took a deep breath, "Okay, I'll say it. I'm pregnant." She smiled shyly.

I got slight anxiety. I had flashbacks about Christa and Rebecca.

"It's going to be okay. I'm not going anywhere." she must have sensed my nerves and seen that I tensed up.

She said, "I can't imagine what you have gone through. But I know that nothing will happen to me or my baby." She gave a reassuring smile.

I relaxed a little. But only a little. I still can't get Christa and Rebecca out of my head.

Easter frowned but then smiled and said, "We have shelter. People to help. And plenty of protection. It's going to be okay."

'She's right.' I thought. 'She's right. The conditions are a lot better." I tried to reassure myself.

Easter said in a motherly tone, "It's going to be okay."

I finally relaxed completely. Easter smiled. I smiled.

"You're going to be a great mother." I said.

"Thanks."

"How did you get Snowflake?" I was confused and curious.

She thought for a moment then said, "Okay, um ... first off I want you to know that Cody and I didn't always have them with us."

I nodded.

She continued, "Bob was a scientist. He was in our group after the apocalypse started. He worked with wolves. He was trying to bring dire wolves back to life. He was able to but only partly."

"That's where you and Cody come in."

"Yes. It was five years ago. Four years into the apocalypse. We were fourteen. Bob had succeeded in bringing back two dire wolves, but they couldn't live on their own. They needed something to sustain them. He needed two hosts. So, our leader volunteered us." She looked down at her feet sadly.

I got up and sat down next to her. She smiled sadly at me. I put a hand on her shoulder.

She sighed, "They dragged us to Bob's lab." she paused. "I... the last thing that I remember is being in great pain." she started crying.

I brought her into a hug which she gladly excepted. She cried into my shoulder.

We sat like that for a while. Then she let go. I sat up and she laid back.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore."

I said, "That's alright." At least it cleared up a little bit of everything.
