I wake up wondering how I managed to fall asleep on a cloud, I can't help but snuggle my face further into it.

Then I was hit with the dying need to pee and sigh in frustration, just wanting to savour this moment, it was the best sleep I'd had in so long and I feel so warm and tingly that I never want it to end.

After a few more minutes, the discomfort overshadows the peace and I end up giving in.

I go to sit up but immediately get pulled back down and I begin to freak out, shoving my elbow down onto whatever's holding me and a groan of pain makes me jump.

"Why the hell baby?" A deep, sleepy voice says and a shives runs the length of my spine, making me immediately remember who this is.

"Sorry River." I say sheepishly, looking over at him.

"No harm done." He smiles and pulls me closer to him which really doesn't help.

"River?" I strain, trying again to wriggle my way to freedom.

"What're you doing?" He asks confused.

"Nature is calling." I reply with a slight chuckle, watching his face increase in confusion before flooding with realisation and he then releases me.

Luckily the door to the bathroom was open because otherwise I would've probably walked into the wardrobe which would've been majorly embarrassing on my part.

I do my business and move to wash my hands and clean my teeth with a spare toothbrush I found in the cupboard, I look up and catch myself in the mirror, still not used to my appearance after a year of not seeing it, my eyes fixate onto my neck which feels better but still looks raw and painful, making me cringe.

I close my eyes and turn my head to the window, reopening them to see a sight which I haven't seen since the day I shifted into my wolf for the first time.

Snow.

I can't help but smile gently at the sight, it relaxing me considerably.

I sigh and finally leave the bathroom, seeing River sat up, looking at the snow through the huge window on the wall which overlooks the forest surrounding the pack.

I walk over and place my hand on the window, my hand tingling at the cold.

"I have some work to do in my office today my love, you can feel free to explore the pack house if you'd like?" River asks from behind me and I turn to look at him and smile, nodding my head.

I would miss him, I didn't need my wolf telling me to know that much. But I did need to work my way around the house at some point or another.

Once we're both showered and dressed, we walk hand in hand towards his office and once we reach it, he turns me towards him and kisses my forehead.

"I'll still be here once you're done exploring okay?" He asks.

"Okay." I reply with a smile before we go separate ways and I begin to wander.

I walk through the halls, medical area and see the school building from one of the windows which is among pack houses.

I then catch a glimpse of word that excited me the most out of every room I'd seen so far.

'Library.' I read on the golden tag above the door and immediately go for the door handle, revealing the biggest library I'd ever seen which I can't help but gape at.

I start walking through the alphabetically categorised books, picking up a few which caught my eye and reading the blurbs, taking a few with me to read later on.
