Mirio stood stoically in front of the two villain bosses, eyeing them down with a cold glare.
"Let her go!" Commanded the Blond hero, assuming a fighting stance.
"You want her? Come and get her." Said Mightless.
Mirio suddenly rushed in, running straight for Eri. Mightless, however, stood still, not trying to stop him, allowing Mirio to reach Chrono, and kick him into the wall. However, before he could grab Eri, stone spikes shot out of the ground, going right through Mirio thanks to his quirk.
"Mightless! What the hell are you doing!?" Chisaki yelled.
"Oh I'm sorry, I was under the impression that you were supposed to protect her, not me." Mightless chuckled, "So instead, I'm just gonna sit back and watch you struggle with him."
Letting out an annoyed grunt, Chisaki placed his hand on the floor, as the tiles shattered like glass, before reforming into spikes, covering the entire battlefield. Mirio was unharmed, luckily, but he was too busy trying to lift Eri to safety.
"Do you have no regard for your own child." Yelled Mirio.
"I have no child." Chisaki coldly replied, "Besides, It doesn't matter whether I destroy her or not, I can just rebuild her with my quirk."
Hearing the sheer lack of care coming from Chisaki made Mirio's blood boil.
"Besides, it wouldn't be the first time I used it on her."
That last line did it. Just then, Chrono got back up, trying to fire at him.
"Aim for the arm that's carrying Eri, he'll be forced to keep that part vulnerable to protect her." Said Chisaki, sprouting more spikes at him.
Chrono drew is gun and fired, however, his target wrapped himself in his cape, making it harder for him to aim at vulnerable spots.
"Damn, this guy's good." Commented Chrono, as Mirio rose from the ground, uppercutting him.
Just then, the floor below Chrono lifted up, separating the two. Just then, Chisaki noticed that Mirio dropped Eri, and charged straight at her.
"Eri's still in that cape, if I destroy her, he'll be demoralized."
Before he can reach her however, Mirio flew in, punching him across the face.
"I'll never let you hurt Eri again." Mirio yelled out, his fist fazing through Chisaki's hand and nailing him in the face, "A hero's cape is for bundling up a young girl who's in terrible pain!"
Chrono tried getting up, but instead of fighting, it seemed he was crawling away instead, which seemed to piss off Chisaki.
"CHRONO! GET BACK HERE AND HELP ME FIGHT" Chisaki yelled, only to get nailed across the face again.
"You may be a cunning leader, and a ruthless one too." Mirio said, hitting Chisaki with a barrage of fists, to the point where Chisaki dropped to his knees, "But I'm stronger!"
With those words being said, Eri felt the warmth of Mirio's cape, as it resonated with the warmth she felt within her chest. Mirio delivered a decisive uppercut, one so strong that the Yakuza leader lifted off the ground.
"I won't let you lay another finger on her! I'll take both you and Mightless down!" Mirio said valiantly, "It's over, Chisaki!"
Just then, a bullet went right through Mirio's leg. But unlike before, Mirio couldn't defend from it. Instead, the bullet dug into the young hero's calf, as blood gushed out of the exit wound, causing Mirio to pause his combo and drop to his knees, clutching his leg in pain.
