The next day was the day that Jay was going to really tell how he felt for her. Except this time it worked.
Although maybe this was absolutely not the time to tell Rose his feelings.
He was really nervous again, but he was only nervous because he was scared that she would not feel at all the same way about him. So when she came he went straight to it.... without noticing what has happened to her.
"Hi Rose , I have always wanted to tell you this so now I think is the best time, so, I really like....." he stopped and looked at Rose " are you okay Violet" he asked really concerned about her.
Rose looked up, and Jay saw two silvery shiny tears roll down her soft cheeks. "What's wrong" Jay sounded really really concerned right now.
Rose looked up once again, she obviously had not been harmed in any way. Then when Jay was just about to ask her the same question again, Rose said "I guess I am crying because i am happy because.......". Rose lifted her hand up as she continued speaking ".....now we can be together".
Jay gasped at what he saw that day because it was so shocking, he could not even bring himself to speak.
As Rose lifted up her hand Jay realised there was nothing there, well there was but there also was not.
All there was left was a hand which both Jay and Violet could see straight through.
Then they both started crying but not because they were sad, because they were happy. They were happy because if Rose turned into a ghost it would be good because then they could finally be together like they always wished they could be.
Rose then had a look on her face a look that meant she didn't understand something. Then she looked back at Jay and asked him softly "what were you going to tell me?".
Jay looked at her worried about what she might say, but this time he tried and he was sure he would not fail. And he did not fail at all.
He told her with great confidence "I have always wanted to tell you this, but I never knew how because i was so afraid, but know I will be brave and say it". "I really really like you" he added "and I hope you like me too" he said really uncertain of what he was saying would come through to her in a very kind way.
And Rose said "I do" "I really really like you too".
And they bother smiled at each other.
