I was walking down the corridor with one of my friends Natalie.
We had just come from a Maths class.
'Gosh. I hate maths!' Nat said out of the blue.
'Yea, it's not my favourite either.' I replied, even though I didn't think she could hear me over the sound of the squealing year 10's.
We walked on in silence.
Finally, we reached our turquoise coloured lockers.
I twisted the knob on my lock, and un-hooked it. My door came swinging open.
I chucked all my math stuff on the second shelf.
Then I reached my hand into my bag to grab my lunch box.
I pulled it out, just as I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around to see Gabby.
'Come to the tree at lunch.' Gabby urged quietly. Her face showing no apparent expression.
'Sure. See you there.' I replied back to her.
Firstly, the 'tree' is a place where we meet when there is something serious we need to talk about. And secondly, when Gabby has an emotionless face, that means she doesn't want anyone to know how she is feeling.
I plucked the lock out of my locker, and swung the locker door shut. It closed with a 'bang.'
I slipped the lock through the metal loops on the door, and pushed the lock closed.
I jogged out of the main school and outdoors.
