"I tripped, while taking a selfie, Sean caught me, that's all that happened," Tara told the police man. That was the story she was telling them, and she'd asked Sean to do the same; she did not want a big deal made about this.

"Sean!" she yelled, catching up with him as he walked away, "Sean, I'm sorry about what happened up there."

"It's fine Tara," he said, but his eyes were downcast, and she could tell that it wasn't.

"Sean, I said I was sorry!" she said, "Why won't you look me in the eye?"

"Because Tara!" he yelled, "You don't get it! I don't care about what happened up there! I was just glad that you were safe!"

"Then what!" yelled Tara

"It's what you won't tell me," he said with a glare like knives, "I covered up for you! I lied to the police for you! And I ask you what's wrong and you say, 'I can't tell you?" He sighed and lowered his voice, "I thought our relationship was... going somewhere."

"Sean-" she began, then she felt a buzz in her pocket, she took a deep breath, "I have to go can we talk about this later." Then she walked off without waiting for him to answer.

"Hello?" she said in her fake cheerful voice.

"Tara!" yelled someone from the other end, "Tara it's Vicky, I saw everything on the news! Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Vicky, everything's fine," sighed Tara, "It's just that, I got this weird feeling of Deja Vu and then..." her voice trailed off as she remembered the masked face, she felt as though she was haunting her; watching her every move.

"Hello Terra," whispered the chilling voice, she gasped and stepped back, feeling her foot slip off the curb. From that point on it was a blur, the blare of a horn, the flashing of headlights, then darkness.

She sat up, in a cold sweat, and found herself in her own bed, she looked at the clock beside her, it read 7:20 AM. What happened? She couldn't remember anything after the glare of headlights in her eyes.

She stood up and rubbed her eyes and groaned at the pain in her head before doing a double take of the clock.

"School!" she yelled, nearly falling over at the realization of how late it was. After searching everywhere for her phone, and finally giving up, she took off as fast as she could for school.

"I'm so late!" she panted as she ran up the school steps. She ran inside and stuffed her books in her locker. She slammed it shut and found her friend Vicky waiting behind the door. "Aah!" she yelled in surprise, "Don't do that!"

"Sorry Tara," said Vicky in her clearly not sorry voice, "But I was worried about you. You just hung up in the middle of our conversation yesterday, and you wouldn't answer any of my calls!"

"Oh, right," Tara wondered if she should tell Vicky what had happened, chances were she would just explain it away as some dumb dream. She glanced at the clock and started running off down the hall, yelling behind her, "I'll tell you after class!"

Vicky shrugged then ran off to her own classes after glancing at the clock herself. She slid into her desk and tried to focus on Algebra, but with all that was going on, Algebra seemed like an insignificant crumb in the pie crust of life. She was seriously worried about Tara. When that green kid first showed up, it hadn't seemed like a big deal. But since he'd left, things had started getting weird. Tara had started acting preoccupied, then the Ferris Wheel fiasco last night, then hanging up mid-call, and now this morning, she'd been late, first of all, and she'd just run off to class without explaining herself. It wasn't like her to be so mysterious.

It was that green guy; Vicky was sure that he was behind all of this somehow. But she wasn't exactly sure how. She looked up to see if her teacher was looking, but he was to busy to notice her, so she pulled out her phone and started doing some detective work.

Meanwhile...

"Tara!" yelled someone, "Tara!" Tara looked up in surprise at her teacher, who was tapping her foot impatiently, "I don't tolerate sleeping in my class."

Tara gasped, and sat up, "I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, "I didn't-,"

"No excuses Tara," said her teacher, handing Tara a slip of paper, "Go to the principal's office." Tara groaned and stormed out of the room and down the hall to the principal's office.

"It's not my fault that I nearly died last night!" she ranted, as she stomped through the halls, "But try telling that to my teachers!" She yelled in frustration and kicked one of the lockers next to her. "Ow!" she yelled as she limped over to the windowsill for support. She looked out on the city, the crowds of people swarming across busy streets, Beast Boy could be anywhere out there, but she needed to find him now if she was ever going to figure out what was going on, or who that man in the Ferris Wheel was, she shuddered at the memory. If only she'd kept the communicator he'd offered her, she might've been able to reach him. But it seemed like he had given up on finding her, so how was she supposed to find him now. Then she took another look at the city, "Oh," she said, Titan's Tower seemed like a good place to start.

Unfortunately, that would have to wait, she had detention for an hour after school, and after she got out Vicky needed help with her homework. She thought about refusing, but Vicky was smart, and she did not approve of Beast Boy, if Tara left early, Vicky would definitely figure it out eventually.

"So, Tara," Vicky said without looking up from her phone, "What's up with you and Sean?"

"Nothing," Tara rolled her eyes trying to seem nonchalant, "It was just one date."

"Yeah," said Vicky, "But I thought you two were you know... a thing."

"I don't like him that way, and it would be cruel to lead him on, now can we just finish our homework?" snapped Tara. Vicky's eyes widened, she looked up from her phone, nearly crawled on top of the table and looked Tara in the eyes.

"It's that green guy isn't it?" she said, "He's really getting to you." She slumped back down in her chair, and continued before Tara could protest, "What is he doing? Threatening you? Blackmailing you?"

Tara sighed and rolled her eyes as her friend ranted on, "Vicky," she said, but Vicky was too wrapped up in her own theories to listen, "Vicky!" she yelled.

"Yeah?" Vicky said as she looked up in surprise.

"He didn't do any of those things,"

"Then why are you acting so weird?" asked Vicky

"Because," Tara answered, after a moment of hesitation, "I've just been... tired lately, that's all." She glanced at the clock, "I have to go," she said, grabbing her bookbag, and hastily walking out the door.

"I'll text you later!" yelled Vicky.

"Can't," Tara yelled over her shoulder, "I lost my phone."

Vicky smiled to herself as she closed the door, if she was going to figure out what was going on, finding Tara's phone would be a good place to start.

"Titan's Tower please," said Tara as she hopped into a cab. The driver nodded and Tara stared out the window at Titan's tower. She sighed, this was going to be embarrassing.
