"Robin, we got your message," said Cyborg as he hopped out of the T car, "What happened?"

Robin sighed as Starfire and Raven landed next to him, looking on expectantly.

"What is the matter Robin?" Starfire asked resting her hand on his shoulder. He bit his lip in hesitation. He didn't like lying to the team, especially not since his Red X incident, but he knew his friends. He knew Beast Boy wouldn't do something like this for no reason, and he didn't want to call him out as a traitor without all the facts.

"I--," he stuttered, before gaining his composure, "Ahem, I have a tracer on Red X," he half lied, happy that they couldn't see the look in his eyes, "He's headed towards the tower," he explained, "And he has help."

The Team nodded and hopped into the car. After a moment of silence as Cyborg turned on the car, then Starfire glanced around ads if looking for something, "Where are Beast Boy and Tara?" she asked, leaning forward and placing a hand on his shoulder.

Robin froze, she knew something was wrong, she could tell. He bit his lip and slowly turned to face her, looking urgently into her eyes, hoping, praying that she would understand what the look in his eyes meant.

Starfire's face clouded with a troubled expression, then they widened, and Robin knew that she understood. He smiled, "I love you," he whispered, something he rarely did, despite the fact that she already knew it.

"It will be alright," she mouthed, smiling reassuringly and sitting back next to Raven.

Robin nodded and sat back in his seat. Shegently reached for his hand and he held it tight, feeling his nerves calmtemporarily. They were going to fix this, somehow.

Batman sighed as he did a U-Turn in the middle of the street, following Robin's signal back to Titans Tower. He didn't know any shortcuts around Jump City to make his trip any shorter, but he was glad for the extra time; time to rehearse what he would say when he saw his son.

The night Dick had left been one of the hardest in his life. He couldn't help feeling, the entire time, that it was all his fault; maybe it was. Maybe if he hadn't pressured him so hard, pushed him, constantly tried to improve him- maybe if he'd really treated him like his son it wouldn't have happened. But it did, and Robin laughed. With the constant teasing from Babs, and the pressure of training to be both Batman's sidekick and Bruce Wayne's ward, it was no surprise that he left, storming out without even a goodbye to anyone but Alfred.

He sighed, this was their second time talking since then. The first had been after Robin had been taken as Deathstroke's apprentice. He remembered how he'd cancelled all his appointments and sped to Jump City the moment Starfire contacted him. How he'd talked with his son from outside the tower, and how it had ended with another argument. He sighed, he didn't want it to happen like that again, he wouldn't let it. Dick was his son, and he wasn't going to let family slip away.

On a small ledge next to the windows of Titan's tower three figures could be seen clinging to the tower for dear life. "Couldn't we have just used the door?" Vicky gulped as she held her head up, trying not to look down.

The Green parrot sitting on Tara, who was dressed in a cheap cloth stormtrooper outfit with a black jacket and mask. He shook his head and answered, "The alarm goes off for anyone who isn't a Titan."

Both the girls looked down simultaneously and gulped eyes shooting back up to the sky, "Are you done yet?" they asked in unison, without turning to look at Red X who was working on the window.

He grunted, as he fiddled with one of his tools, "Almost," he said, "it's kind of difficult without my old gear." He fiddled with one last thing before slowly and carefully removing the entire glass panel, "Done," he said gently placing it on the floor as he slipped inside.

"We're in," he called to them as they slipped through the windows. Vicky slowly passed him the pug before scrambling in herself, followed by Beast Boy and Tara. Once they were in he stood, arms crossed, in front of Beast Boy, "Explanation," he demanded, "Now."

Gar sighed, 'Tara come with me," he said, gesturing for her to follow him down the hall, "Wait here," he told the other two.

Red X could feel his breathing growing heavier as he felt something he'd hardly ever experienced in his lifetime, fear, anxiety. He breathed out and clenched his fists into balls, his nerves on end. Till he felt a gentle hand take his, squeezing it firmly, but gently. He turned to Vicky, or rather Y, who had set the pug on the ground.

"Hey," she said softly, "You're not alone." He smiled at her and very suddenly wrapped his arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder. He felt safe with her, he felt, okay.

"Thanks Vicky," he whispered, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to flow.

"I got you," she whispered, "I got you."
