Robin's communicator buzzed like crazy from inside his utility belt. He pulled it out to look at the feed, "The Batman," he growled. Bruce had been able to sneak flawlessly into the tower before, but Robin had put it on high alert ever since he'd seen Beast Boy heading that way. But he'd underestimated Red X as usual, he must've found another way in, whereas Bruce, Robin scowled, Bruce had taken the anticipated route, and given himself away.

Without a word he glared at the road ahead and pushed Cyborg to the side. "Robin What—" Cyborg looked at Robin like he was crazy, but Robin held his gaze ahead and pressed on the gas as hard as he could, till they were flying down the street at 190.

"Robin what are you doing?" Starfire whispered urgently, clinging to the back of the seat.

"Catching the Bat," he growled. Bruce could get away with a lot of things, but as of now, he was a trespasser in Robin's city.

"Why didn't the alarm go off when we came in?" Vicky yelled over the blaring alarms.

"Robin must've put the tower on high alert," Gar explained, "But there are certain things he couldn't do because they would've taken too much out of the budget, so instead of putting security on the windows he found the strongest glass material in the world."

Red X smirked, "Not strong enough apparently," he said.

"Gar what are we gonna do about the Batman?" asked Tara

"I—" he stuttered, there was protocol for this, Robin had taught them, but it was all for specific scenarios and this, he looked at Red X and Vicky, definitely wasn't one of those situations.

"I'll take care of the Batman," Gar turned to see X pulling himself into one of the air ducts, "You take the girls and we'll meet up...." He stared out the window and pointed at the long drop outside, "There," he said. He looked back at Vicky before climbing into the air duct, "Don't forget the pug," he said.

Vicky picked up the pug and watched as he closed the vent behind him, "Be careful," she whispered, before being dragged away by Gar and Tara.

Red X walked coolly to the edge of the roof. "It's over kid," the Dark Knight growled, "Give yourself up.
X looked over the edge.

"Nice try bats," he said with a smirk, "But your kid already tried the same trick. I'm too good," he shrugged, "For both of you." He watched as the bat lunged forward and let his foot slip over the side, pulling the rest of him with it. Aaaand, he thought through the steady drop, cue smoke bombs.

The Batman coughed as he ran to the edge, but when the smoke cleared there was no one there. He pulled out his binoculars and scanned the skyline for anything suspicious, and as always he was right. A huge green prehistoric bird was flying away with three passengers on its back, one was Tara, one was the girl from the phone, and the other. The Batman scowled, Red X had to be the boy from the phone
