Tara stood up and walked across her room, she already knew where everything was, Beast Boy had showed her. She walked over to the table with the heart shaped box on it and looked at her reflection. Terra, whoever she was, was gone. But that didn't mean that Tara couldn't start fresh with the Titans. The way she'd treated Beast Boy before hadn't been fair, and she wanted to start over.

She took one last look at the box and put it away. She knew that the Titans loved Terra, but she was going to try to make them love Tara even more.

"So," said Vicky through a mouthful of tuna sandwich, "You don't remember anything?"

Red X shrugged, "Just bits and pieces," he took a bite of his BLT, he'd folded his mask up so that he could eat, "I remember a voice; it's creepy, monotone. Sometimes I hear it in my dreams, just taunting me, but I don't know who it is. Well, I didn't, actually."

"What do you mean, 'didn't'?"

"I hacked into the Titans data base, just for fun, you know."

"Yeah, sure you weirdo," Vicky laughed. Red X looked at her quizzically before continuing.

"Anyway, I saw him, well a recording of him anyway,"

"Who was he," Vicki asked, she put down her sandwich and took his hand.

"His name was Slade," he said in a troubled tone, "And he was supposedly dead. The only other connection to him was a girl named Terra Markov."

"Oh no," Vicky groaned, "Not this again."

"Tara Markov was the only person I could find that fit the description, so, I followed her."

"Cause of course," Vicky commented sarcastically, then added, "Sorry."

"Anyway, when I saw her tear that huge hole in the street, I knew it had to be her," he concluded.

"Wait, wait, wait," Vicky waved her hands for him to slow down, "She tore a hole in the street?"

Red X nodded, "Yep."

Vicky sat back and rubbed her temples. Why did he have to say that? Everything made sense up till that sentence. Now Tara was involved in this, and that little green guy, though she hated admitting it, was right. "Wow, Dick," she said, running her hands through her hair, "That's... Is that why you were there, at the construction site?"

He nodded, "I was looking for anything, a clue, a hunch, something that would lead me to my past." He lifted his eyes toward Vicky, "And then I saw you."

Vicky felt the blush spreading across her cheeks, "And I took the phone."

"Yeah," he laughed, "Once I saw you, I got out of there as fast as I could; I thought you were going to scream or something." Vicky reached across the table and hugged him, not caring about the tuna that was getting smushed all over her shirt. He grew rigid at first, then smiled at the realization that someone cared.

"I'm sorry," she said, she reached into her purse and pulled out the phone.

"You brought it with?" he said in a surprised tone.

"I had a feeling we might need it," she said with a knowing smirk. She hopped over to his side of the booth and sat next to him, swiping the phone on, "Let's see what we've got."

Beast Boy walked into the kitchen and placed the pizza on the counter, Raven had stayed behind to finish sorting the file she was on, so he was eating alone. He cut himself a slice and sat back on the couch to watch "Clash of the Planets".

"Hey," said a voice from behind the couch. Beast Boy didn't bother looking up, he knew that voice anywhere."

"Hey," he responded, gesturing for Tara to sit down next to him. They smiled at each other and he offered her a slice of pizza. Then they sat back and watched the TV in silence.

Tara struggled with herself to break that silence, "Beast Boy," she sighed, "I'm sorry, I was unfair to you and—"

"No, I'm sorry," he stood up, "I tried to pressure you into being someone you're not. I just," he closed his eyes, "I wanted so badly for her to be alive..."

Tara placed a hand on his shoulder, "But you're not her," he continued, turning to look her in the eyes, "And that's okay."

"I, don't know what to say," she said, a bewildered yet pleasant smile spread across her face, "Beast Boy, I—"

"Gar," he interrupted.

"What?"

"My real name is Garfield Logan," he laughed, "But if we're gonna start over I want you to call me Gar.

"Ok," she laughed, "Gar it is then."

The two sat down, "More pizza, Tara?" asked Gar. Tara smiled it was nice to hear him use her real name.

"I'd love some, Gar," she laughed. They kept watching galactic wars, commenting on the prequels and sharing their favorite things; getting to know each other all over again.
