It was a cold winters morning. I was sat drinking a spiced latte by the window the cafe. I looked out and saw the thin layer of frost covering the footpath and grass. I watched the steam rise in swirls from my latte. I heard the bell ring as the door opened. I raised my head and saw him as he walked towards the counter. I sat there watching for a while before returning to my latte. A few minutes later I looked to down to see a pair of feet stood in front of me. I looked up. "May I sit with you?" He asked me. I replied yes without any second thoughts. We talked over our hot festive drinks. He smiled at me and it was almost like the world had stopped. It was then I realised I had feelings for him. After a while of talking and hot drinks I went home. Though secretly inside I was buzzing of happiness. I didn't tell him that though.

Christmas was fast approaching. The town lights had been turned on and everyone was busy bustling around shops doing last minute present buying. I was getting the last few bits and bobs. Christmas was truly the most wonderful time of the year. The music, the food, spending time with friends and family. Everyone was in a happy spirit. Finally after 3 hours and dashing in and out of shops I could head home. As I headed towards where I was parked I accidently bumped into someone. Everywhere was so busy it was hard not to. I turned to apologise. "I'm so sorry I was just in a rush and it's so busy." But that's when he turned round and I realised that it was James. "Hello again I was hoping I'd bump into you at some point and don't worry everyone is bustling past its christmas." He told me. I smiled and let out a relieved laugh. We both stood there for a moment looking at each before heading off in our different directions.
