"Don't let the dark over power you, you deserve to feel the light once in a while."

Jess's POV:
We quickly put our hoodies over our head and walked back in a quick pace just to make sure no one would notice us and that we wouldn't draw too much attention to the way we were dressed. I was ahead of Grayson and pointed to the direction that we were headed to next just so we didn't get lost throughout the crowd.
Once we reached I went into my uncles garage and grabbed the first key I could find and clicked it to see I had chosen the Ford Broken and slyly smiled to myself before jumping into the car seat and found that it was a stick drive.
"Grayson! Can you drive a stick shift?" He quickly looked at me and nodded before walking to the car door and sat on the drivers seat.
We buckled up and he drove out of the garage as silent as possible to make sure my uncle didn't hear.
Once we were out on the main road he increased to speed to 80 and was laughing to himself causing me to smile at the view in front of me until he abruptly stopped and continued driving with a straight face.
"What's wrong Gray?" He twitched a bit when I said Gray.
"My mum used to own this car, it just took me straight back into childhood and I forgot what I was doing for a second." He said emotionless.
"I'm here for you now Gray, we can get through this together." The car had now become an awkward silence so I decided to put on some music.
"PARTY ROCKERS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT!" The speakers blasted causing me to scream and laugh at the same time, I tried to see Grayson chuckling at me.
"You think that's funny huh? Let me change the song." I changed it to Kid Cudi and saw the look on Grayson's face. He was smiling so hard and his eyes were glistening.
Grayson started singing to himself and started going louder and louder causing me to laugh at him. We kept on changing the music every few minutes to help keep ourselves on focusing on this moment and to forget what was happening outside.
After six hours we finally made it to a tiny motel with a forest surrounding it making the place feel like home. I already missed New Jersey but I knew that I had to leave soon and it was now.
Grayson parked the car in the garage and we both put our hoodies on. I had removed my contacts from before and put on my glasses so people wouldn't recognise us.
The sound of the bell ringing as we opened the door alerted all the hotel staff and the people who were eating breakfast that new customers had arrived. All eyes were on us as we walked to the front desk giving me a chilling feeling.
"Hello and welcome to the Northern forest motel! Unfortunately we only have one room left and it's the suite room for couples. Is this alright with you?" The desk jockey said.
My cheeks turned pink as I turned to Grayson while he rolled his eyes at me and smiled before looking back at the desk assistant who was smirking at the both of us.
"I see that won't be a problem then for you two young lovers. Just sign this form and give me your passports and we'll be good to go." At that moment Grayson and I freaked out and looked at each other.
If we gave our passports in they would alert the police but if we didn't we wouldn't have a place to stay.
"Hi, just a quick question. Do you have any cell service or tv here?" Grayson said quickly interrupting my thoughts.
"No we don't unfortunately, we believe in a quiet secluded area where you can enjoy your vacation away from the internet. If you want to watch up with the news the newspaper comes in once a week with all the news from the past seven days." Grayson quickly looked at me as I nodded.
"We'll take the room please." The desk attendant nodded and smiled before getting the forms from the office.
"Grayson, we don't know the date the papers come in each week. We can't stay here if it's coming tomorrow!" I was starting to slowly have a panic attack.
"Jess just breath, I'll find out when we eat breakfast ok." I nodded and took in a deep breath as the lady came back.
"Here are the forms, just sign them and give me your passports so I can check you guys in." I took the passports from my bag and handed them slowly to the lady.
She took them from my hands and started typing quickly, she immediately stopped and started to eye our faces before looking back at the screen causing me to miss a breath making me have a coughing fit.
She abruptly stopped typing and came over to the other side to help me calm down from my panic attack as Grayson went over and filled out the form and quickly came back over.
"I'm fine thank you." She stopped and nodded before going back to the computer and finished typing.
"Here are your passports and room keys, enjoy your stay you two!" She smiled as we nodded and walked up the stairs to the room.
"I can't believe we got through Gray!" I said as we closed the door of our room. I jumped onto the bed and closed my eyes to take in the smell of the sheets.
"Me neither! We have to act like a couple now so just be vary alright. Let's just sleep for a bit and go and eat some lunch." I nodded tiredly and felt myself falling off to sleep immediately.
I woke up confused to the sound of the door banging and turned to look at Grayson to see he was still asleep.
"Grayson Dolan! Grayson Dolan!" The person was screaming.
I started to get nervous and went to wake up Grayson to see he wasn't there. The knocking on the door started to get louder and the walls were beginning to close on me.
"SOMEONE HELP!"
