Jess's POV:

I quickly collected all the things I needed to write the next letter to him, I was curious as to who he was and how I could connect with him on an emotional level just from that letter he sent. I needed to find answers fast, I decided to send him one of my poems/writings too as I wanted him to know that I was like him.

I still had a feeling deep down inside that he was lying to me and I was being catfished but I decided to continue writing anyway.

After writing for twenty minutes I reread my letter to make sure that everything made sense and rewrote the address I wrote the first time. Me being the curious soul that I am searched up the address I wrote on the letter to find the boys house who was a thirty-minute drive from here. So that was why our letters came quickly I thought.

It was now one am and I decided to sneak out of the house and walk to the post office. I passed my school along the way and rolled my eyes while passing the halls I dreaded walking into every day. As I was continuing to walk I heard a boy crying, I continued walking until his sounds became very loud. He wasn't crying, he was screaming.

I found myself at the cemetery where I buried my parents only to find the boy who I heard screaming a few tombstones ahead. I decided that I should go and talk to them too as it had been a year since I last saw them.

I sat down in front of the stone only to find the boy ahead of me turn around with sorrowful eyes but he immediately changed his appearance and held up a fake smile, a smile that looked so real that you could tell he was used to it. He got up from his position and came near to my tombstone and placed a flower there before disappearing.

That night I never figured out who that boy was.

I decided to continue my journey to the post office and reached there five minutes later dropping it off in hopes of a reply in a few days time.

Grayson's POV:

I decided to go for a walk to cool off steam after getting into another argument with my brother, I was walking blindly and looked up to realise I walked into the cemetery, the cemetery mum was buried in. I walked to the flower bush where I plucked a few of them before walking to her grave and screaming. It was like an escape, for me it was like a prayer for me to join her up there. Away from everything.

I suddenly heard footsteps behind me and I went silent turning around to find a girl wearing black and had sleeves of tattoos, she was beautiful but something about her was off. She started tearing up so I walked up to her and gave her a rose before I left.

The funny thing was that she had a letter in her hand.

No POV:

The two of them both walked home confused on who they met, they didn't know that that was the first time they saw their broken half. But the two empty souls continued on.
