Eileen was happier than usual. Jungkook noticed her cheeks constantly turning pink as she thought of something that made her smile.
"You okay?" He asked as if there was some sort of problem.
"Yeah." She did the same giggle she's been doing, while smiling to herself again.
"What are you so happy about?" He casually asked, but the truth was, he wasn't being casual at all.
"Okay, I'll tell you." She smiled, excitedly sitting across from Jungkook. He waited until she spoke, letting all the possibilities run through his head.
"I have a date tonight." She flashed a smile just thinking about it.
"A w-what?" He asked, hearing her perfectly clear the first time.
"A date." She repeated, actually thinking he needed to hear it again.
"With who?!" He asked in a slightly concerned tone. She noticed and had a gut feeling he was going to play older brother again.
"The boy I met at the antique shop." She explained, remembering the awkward encounter he and Jungkook had.
"That guy?" Jungkook's forehead creased as his eyes narrowed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, somewhat offended by his question.
"You barely know him. Didn't you meet him two like two days ago?"
"It's a date Jungkook. We're not getting married." Eileen crossed her arms, while avoiding his gaze.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to get close to people you didn't know. This town is really scary, and I don't want you talking to the wrong people." He apologized, and she could tell he meant it from the way his eyes looked at the floor and not at her.
"It's okay Jungkook. I know you meant well, but you have to trust me on this one." She comforted him, patting his back as he gulped.
"When's the date?" He asked Eileen as she walked towards the kitchen.
"Eight." She tried to remember correctly as she grabbed a dry rag from the drawer.
