YNA's POV

The dead bodies are no more than confetti over the rocky ground, every eye flung wide in a final moment of terror, seeing nothing but blackness despite the lurid daylight.

Jaco held my hand tight. I could feel my heart beating against my rib cage, slowing every second. Somehow he calms me.

Then everything happened so fast. The next I knew, all of us were on the run.

"Arg g*ddmnt! Those bastards will pay! I will reap their eyeballs out of their f*cking whole one by one. "Gunner exclaimed, fuming mad. " That abandoned house was untraceable. I am sure of that. I made sure of it."

Tumigil ito sa paglalakad, tila may naisip. Hinarap niya si Fox at kwinelyuhan ito.

"Or did you sold us to The Government?!"

Isinandal niya ito sa katabing puno. His eyes has fires of fury and hatred smoldering in it. His face were as dark as gathering storm clouds. No more is the happy-go-lucky looking Gunner who always picks up on Orli, or the joker calling the guy with names. It was just him, punong puno ng galit na tila sa wakas napakawalan na.

Fox on the other hand was showing nothing, just blank. His bored blue eyes staring at him, looking unaffected at his outburst.

Orli and Alesso? Like Jaco, their expressions remained passive. Maybe it's their way in letting the two of them deal with their unfinished business.

I was about to run to them, pero hinawakan ni Jaco ang kamay ko ng mahigpit, it was as if he's telling me silently not to interrupt the two.

"They might kill each other." I whispered.

"I am a sinner. I am no saint. I'm not proud of it. But I admit. My mother was part of The Government, and your father ought to be her mission. Pero kasalanan ba ng anak ang kasalanan ng magulang?"

A cruel sneer formed on Gunner's face and he leaned forward, eyes bearing straight into Fox'. His hands twitched. And if I were him? Maybe I could already feel the vein pulsing in my forehead.

"And your a poet now? Tss. You're mother being a traitor, you could always sell us to amend for her mistakes. And in that way, you could be free from them. How sure are we that you're loyalty remains at us?"

His rage were like a money in a bundle na tinalian ng rubber band.

"Are you questioning my loyalty?" Fox asked. "If yes, be a man, kill me yourself."

It was the same knife he used in killing his brother.

Gunner stared at him for a long time.

He tsked then started walking up front.

"You knew I could always do that, but I didn't. At baka nakakalimutan mo, my mother became a traitor for helping me in saving you, a wanted person, a criminal, a mafia, in that fire."
