Dear Diary,
So… Today is the first day at Camp Bloodsucker. The bus ride here sucked. I was one of the last girls to get on the bus, so all the good seats were taken. That left me right up the front with the bus driver – an ancient guy who really should’ve carked it years ago – and all those kids who get carsick (or is it bus sick?)
I’m always prepared for emergencies (cough cough,) so I pulled out my laptop and logged into Facebook. I looked at my messages, but it was no surprise that there were no new ones, I mean, who did I expect to have sent me a message?
Brianna? No, she was off in Paris with her parents, her boyfriend Zach and his parents.
Zoë? Nope she was at her usual cheerleading camp, shaking her butt in time with her pom-poms.
I haven’t heard from Clair since her niece was born a month ago, Audrey was touring Malaysia and, since my parents didn’t think I should keep in contact with rebels (that only makes me want to rebel), I had no way of contacting Courtney.
I logged off with a sigh. This was going to be a very long summer. I slipped my laptop back into my bag, and pulled out my book. I could hear all of the peppy cheerleader girls making fun of my thick, dog-eared book. They were gonna make my life hell with a capital H at camp Bloodsucker. Speaking of, what was with the name?
Camp Bloodsucker
It sounded like a holiday camp from all of those horror movies that your parents didn't want you to watch, so of course you did.
And then there was the motto:
Carpe Carotid
What the hell does that even mean?
Ok, I need to wrap this up – dinner time soon.
I got stuck in a cabin with 3 other girls. Yep, you guessed it. ALL Cheerleader type girls. You know the type. Skinny-ish, gorgeous hair and eyes with legs that go for miles. Bed time is gonna be precious – almost all of my PJs were in the wash when I packed, so the only pair I had were my old daggy, Hello Kitty PJs that had been washed so many times they were now a yucky faded yellow, not the bright sunshine yellow that they were 4 years ago when I bought them.
Nah, the girls weren't that bad, and at least I didn't have to share a bathroom with the entire camp, just the girls in my "cabin"
There goes the bell, damn!!!!!
Gotta go, I’ll try and write again tomorrow, not making any promises though!!!
xoxo Jasmyn

So, here I am, at Camp Bloodsucker.
I stepped off the bus and looked around. My first impression was that everything was green, and by that I mean really green!!! Green grass, green leaves even green things growing on the tree trunks. I was guessing that this was moss, but growing up somewhere where it only rained 3 or 4 times a year I had no idea.
My second impression was that it really did look like something from a horror movie. My personal horror movie:
Attack of the Cheerleaders
There were heaps of cabins and they all looked the same.
Pinewood with white front doors that had bright, shiny gold numbers on them. All of the cabins had a little plume of smoke rising from t heir chimneys, giving it a homey look.
Each cabin had a veranda out the front with 4 couches down one end and a love seat down the other.
All of the campers were heading towards a little stage type thing. On it stood a woman dressed in 3/4 length denim jeans, thongs and a black T-shirt. Her blond hair was tied up in a ponytail.
