Jasmyn's POV

I did a few warm up stretches on the veranda, turned on my iPod and started off towards the track that ran through the forest.

I know, you guys are probably thinking "What the hell Jas!?!? Weren't you listening? These woods are dangerous! How stupid can you get?!?!"

And I totally get it! I would be thinking the same thing, but I checked the map before I left, and this track was marked as safe, so don't worry! I'll be fine!

Anyway, I started running along this track listening to "Perfect" by Simple Plan

[Click on the song, you know, the one on the side :) ]

I lost myself in the music and ran. With most people the more they run, the slower they get as they get more exhausted, but with me, the more I run the faster I get.

So, yeah, anyways...

I was running along and listening to my music for about an hour, not really paying attention to anything until I noticed a massive dark brown wolf running just off the path next to me.

It wasn't a pretty colour brown. It was a gross muddy coloured brown (kind of like Edward Cullen’s ;)), that made the wolf look ugly and a little bit frightening. I guess the fact that the wolf was growling at me really didn't help either.

It stopped running beside me, and started running at me on the diagonal.

I screamed and started running faster, trying to not let the wolf get too close, when Jack came running towards me from the opposite direction.

He was wearing only a pair of cut-off jeans and runners, and I could see his 6-pack and well defined muscles.

He stopped in front of me and grabbed me in his arms so that he was carrying me bridal style.

I was surprised when he just ran past the brown wolf as if it didn't exist and carried me back towards the cabins.

"What the hell was that?" I gasped as I tried to catch my breath as we came out of the tree line. "Jack stop. How did you out run the wolf?"

"Are you ok Jasmyn?" Jack asked, totally ignoring my questions as he ran a hand down my arms and legs. "Are you hurt? Why didn't you notice he was there?"

"Jack stop!" I was getting frustrated.

I was trying to go for a run, when all of a sudden Jack had come out of no-where, grabbed me and ran all the way back to where I had just come from.

He had ignored the wolf just as he was ignoring me.

"Answer me, damn it!" I yelled, smacking his chest and ignoring the sparks and tingles I felt. "What the hell was that? And why were you even there?"

"I'm sorry princess, let me get you to my cabin, and then I will answer any and every questions you have. I promise." he said as he carried me over to his cabin and up the steps.

It was only when we got inside that he put me down, and even then he wrapped an arm around my waist.

Even though I tried, I couldn't stay mad at him when I felt the shivers his touch sent down my spine, and it confused me to no end.

"Come on," he said, leading me down the hall that was exactly the same as mine and into the gold room. "Do you want me to explain?"

I nodded as I sat down on the bed and tucked my feet up behind me.
