"So you met a mystery man in the middle of a deserted town." MC said with a skeptical look on her face
"yes" Deliah replied as though she had done something to be praised for.
"And you told them where we live while we are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and there's a hunt for resources. How dumb could you possibly be! was he even good looking?" She said as she paced around the kitchen looking both fearful and ticked off. She was in no shape to be fighting, and her abdomen was still in pain; she couldn't afford to be fighting a tattoo infection, regaining blood cells, and fending off two 6 feet tall men.
" yeah he was, but he looked to be a generation older," Deliah replied spinning on a kitchen bar stool until she stopped and pointed and self-satisfied look to her friend.
"Wha-" "but his brother looked to be about 27- ish" this interrupting suggestion caused the 27-year-old to tense.
"I'm almost 28, and Whatever your implying needs to cease and assist its way from your brain to the trash.. immediately! I am not looking nor open to the idea" MC's voice escalated to a scream with glossy eyes as she threw down the towel from around her neck and reached for her chest.
"Maecy I was just-"
"And throw my name with it to. All while you make your own dinner!"
She said as she bolted up the stairs and put in the password to her room.
"Ah shit. Why can't I keep my mouth shut?"
**** 2 hrs later****
"Damnit! Our car's out of gas, we have no food, and we just got out of town!" Shouted Eiran.
"well we only headed about 5 miles north-west, so couldn't we go back?" Was Eiden's attempt at comforting, but that flew out the window when his sister groaned loudly and triggered her older brother's protective mode.
"Please.. tell me that those where Braxton hicks"
"No, I'm afraid not, " Eira said while trying to breathe and remain calm. This wasn't her first rodeo, but it was her first pregnancy that she spent without her now late husband.
" ahhhh fuck! I can't deliver a baby!" Eiran said in the midst of panic. He hopped out of the car to try and not work up his sister.
In this, he saw a huge wall in the far off distance.
" Eiden! do something useful and Help me push the car to the west of us!"
Eiren and Eiden began pushing in the near dark in the direction of an unknown structure.
The wall was likely 12 feet worth of concrete and brick. It wasn't at all worn, but -due to the world's current situation- it had to have been built about 3 years ago.
It looked to be surrounding 20-40 acres of land.
The wall had a camera and motion lights that blinded the boys as they got close. They also nearly went deaf by the loud voice screaming "generally later doesn't mean in the same day!" Eiden had been the brave one to shout back. " my older sister is in Labor and we need your help!"
there were a couple of moments of silence before Deliah replied with an "ok I'm on my way down."
It took her 15 minutes to ride out in an older car that looked to be only rigged with wires in the front that led to the tires.
"Get in losers!" Deliah yelled as got out and started to tow their car through the now drawn wall. They piled in whilst carrying Eira and placing her in the back with Eiden. Driving at top speed, they soon reached the huge mansion. With a seemingly eco-friendly build, but Deliah then realized that in the thrill of the moment,
she forgot her keys to the house.
