It have been a month since I've worked at Daily Planet and with Clark.
He's so kind and patient. On the second week, Clark offered me to interview, and I tired. I had stumbled over words and stuttered. I was so disappointed in myself. But Clark smiled and patted my back, and said, "I was the same for the first time. Don't worry. You'll pick up, Ashlynn."
It was the first time he used my first name. I liked the way he said my name. He started call me Ashlynn afterward.
He was right, I've picked up at it. I have gotten better at it. Now I think I'm enjoying the job. To be honest, mostly because of Clark. He made me want to write.
One thing I've learned about Clark Kent is that he disappears now and then during the day. A lot. He would come up with different excuses to go. At first, I suspected, but as time passed, I got used to it.
We got close. There was something trustworthy about him. Something good in him. In fact, he was the first one who I told about my parents and my life in orphan after my parents died. I couldn't stop the tears coming out. He had pulled me closer and hugged me, telling me it's going to be okay.
But I haven't told him how they died.
"Ashlynn?" A voice spoke front of me. I jumped. I had been too lost in my thoughts that I was not in reality. Clark was standing by my desk.
"Sorry. Did I scare you." He asked, a concern in his tone, casual Clark Kent.
"Sorry, I was thinking, I guess." I shrugged.
"Oh. Um. I was meaning to ask you something for a while..." Clark began. His face showed that he was nervous. His hands was visibly shaking.
"Just spit it out, Clark." I joked.
"Will you go out on a date with me?" He blurred.
