"You can go to home now." Clark told me. "It's six p.m."

I nodded. "Thanks for showing me around."

"No problem. Tomorrow, we're going to go to the city and go to the scene where a robbery occurred this morning."

"Yeah. I heard of this one. Superman saves the day, right?" I grinned. "As always."

He laughed at it as if there is a private joke behind it. I brushed it off.

"Tell me about this Superman." I asked. I had just moved in this city and was familiar about Superman. I knew he was a hero who could fly but not much more. I've never been interested in him, unlikely everyone else. Girls would swoon over him, but not me. I don't fall over my heels for boys or men.

But I figured if I'm going to live here in Metropolis, I should know it's hero.

"Um," Clark said, unsure. "I don't know what to say. I'm surprised you don't know about him."

"No. Sure, I've heard of him. But I never been interested in him. He's a hero  all righty, I have a respect for him but I never..." I trailed off, unsure what to say without offending Superman. Who knows he could hear me right now.

"I understand." He nodded. "Well, how I can describe him?"

I shrugged. He took a deep breath before answering. "Well, Superman brings hope to these people in the city. Each time they see that S symbol on his chest, the people knew they would be safe. They knew he would protect them. His presence brings comfort to them. Lois Lane once wrote, 'Superman is not a hero because of his powers, but he is a hero by how he chose to use them.' He's good. Kind. He sacrificed some things for this city. He is a friend to this city."

My arms hair filed at this. "Wow. No wonder you're a reporter."

He let out a laugh. "What?"

"It's just the way you use words. Did you ever wrote about Superman?" I asked, curious.

He nodded. "I did. Enjoyed writing about him, though."

"I can imagine." I smiled. Now I wanted to know more about him. "I'm going to research about him. You made me want to know about him."

He laughed again. "Superman has a stalker now." I joked him by putting a finger on my lips and said, "Shh. Don't tell him."

We both laughed.

"Okay, I better let you go to home, now." He said once we stopped laughing.

I agreed. "Yeah. Bye."

"Goodbye, Miss. Brooks. Have a good sleep." He smiled warmly. I smiled back and waved my hand. "I will."

I turned and began to walk away, but something bugged me. "Wait! Clark!"

He turned and looked at me. "Yes?"

"What is the 'S' symbol on Superman's chest means?"

He smiled before answering.

"Hope."
