I tugged the hem of my dress nervously. He should arrive anytime. I had tired to not seem so formal. I was tempted to make it fancy, but what if Clark thinks it's stupid. I put a little makeup, foundation, lashes, and lipsticks. I had a black simple dress but beautiful on. I hoped Clark would think it's okay. I don't know why I worry about it much.

I lived in an apartment, since there was no house in Metropolis. I was used to it, I grew up in New York City.

A knock on the door. I ran to the mirror to make sure I looked fine before I rushed to the door. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

Clark Kent was there, with his striking blue eyes and smiling, showing his perfect straight white teeth. He wore a simple yet formal tie, and he were holding roses, which I assume it was for me. "Hey, Clark." I said, smiling. He stared at me with a shock, not answering. That moment, I realized he had dropped his smile.

"What's wrong" I asked, worry began to grow on me.

"You're beautiful." He was breathless. I blushed. So did he. Gosh, he looks so cute when he's embarrassed.  "Thanks, I guess." I shrugged a little. I was embarrassed. No one had ever told me that.

The smile that I loved had returned on his face. "I never had seen you wear a dress before." He blurred. "I never liked dresses, I guess. I only use them on special occasions."

"So this is a special occasion?" He smiled wider.

I shoved him gently. Boy, he's hard like a steel. "Don't judge me, but this is my first date." I smiled shyly.

"Really?" He said with a shock. "Yeah..." I said with a embarrassment. I hoped he won't judge me. Of course, I had been asked out on date...but I never said yes until Clark Kent.

"Well, then better make it awesome, then?" He grinned, offering his arm to me. I wrapped my arms around his. "Where are we going?" I asked him, curious. I was excepting a formal diner or something, like the casual dates.

"It's surprise, Ash."

"Ash? Seriously?" I raised my eyebrows. "I just created that now and I like it." He smiled like a kid on a Christmas day.

"I don't know if I like it..." I trailed off, trying to decide if I like it.

"I'm calling you that whatever you like it or not."

I rolled my eyes and Clark led me out of my apartment.

I wondered what that surprise was.
