Coincidence

It's pitch black outside and my face is illuminated only by the glow of the stars, and occasionally the screen of my phone when I check to see what you've said to me next. Music filters through the space surrounding me, and I'm studying the sky trying to decide just how, in all the time there has been and will be, in all the places of the world, I end up outside in the middle of the night, illuminated by the stars awaiting the reply of you. You are worth more than every second I could have possibly spent without you. I don't believe in fate or soulmates, but I believe in this. I believe in us. And if life is nothing but a series of coincidences, then this is the best coincidence I could have ever asked for.
