Nico's POV

*about a week later*

So a few days had passed, and Leo hadn't dared to look me in the eye. I was always with Percy. Always. I admit, I'm clingy, but now that I know who I want, I need to stay with them. Percy and I hadn't been in any trouble, Annabeth and her clique stayed away from us. Leo and Jason weren't ever seen in the same room, my guess is that Jason realized just as much as I did that Leo was a cheating asshole. Jason had tried to talk to me once about it, but I didn't acknowledge him. So other than that small encounter, we were all by ourselves.

Yep, no trouble at all.

At least that's what I thought.

Percy was using the bathroom and I was left alone at a picnic table, eating the last bits of lunch. Barely anyone else was there, so I was surprised when someone came behind me, a hand over my mouth and the other dragging me into the nearest cabin. Leo's cabin. The person, who I assumed to be Leo, had grabbed a cloth and tied it around my mouth, preventing me from screaming out for help. He used the same type of cloth to tie my hands to the headboard, leaving me helpless. Leo finally came into sight, his eyes dark with a mixture of anger and lust.

When he talked, his voice was wicked, unlike his normal self. He seemed so different. "Well, poor little Nico, helpless like I always knew you were. You're nothing without someone to protect you, and look around.." He gestured to the open space around him, smirking evilly. "No one is here to save you now."

I cried out against the restraints, my wrists already in pain. I shut my eyes tight as he got closer to me, his expression becoming more and more furious by the second. It's just a dream, I tell myself, this isn't real. This is not real.

I open my eyes, hoping with everything in me that Leo disappeared, and I'm back at the picnic table with Percy. But I'm not back at the picnic table with Percy. Leo is still there, his face inching closer to mine.

"Let's see how well I can torture you," he whispers mischievously, and my eyes widen as he backs away, his hands beginning to tug down my jeans.

No, this isn't happening. I'm not letting this happen, I think, as if it's going to make a difference.

But it must've made some difference, because as Leo stands at the edge of the bed, smirking at my weak and defenseless self, he can't throw my now undone jeans to the side.

He can't move, he can't do anything, because as soon as I hear soft footsteps and the click of a pen over my whimpering, Leo falls to the ground. I glance at the scene, wide-eyed of what just happened.

Percy stands there.

Percy, breathing heavily, his sword glistening with a fresh crimson addition to the blade.

Percy, standing above Leo, who's now lifeless form is on the floor, blood seeping out of the new wound.

Percy created that wound.

Percy did it.

Percy killed him.
