You headed to lunch not really hungry. The conversation that morning had made you lose your appetite so you weren't in the mood for food. Matt seemed to notice this and asked what happened. You explained that mornings events to him and he seemed upset to.
"That's, I don't even know dude. I mean after what happened? Why would Sanders think that'll be a good idea?" He asked.
You shrugged and poked at your food mindlessly. You weren't really paying attention but you felt someone sit down. It must've been by Matt cause you had no one by you. You looked up only to see that new girl.
"Good afternoon boys. You don't mind if I sit here do you?" She asked with a cute smile.
You and Matt looked around to see that there were empty seats everywhere. You didn't say anything and Matt nodded.
"Thank you. I'm Lisa by the way. I'm new here." She introduced.
"Yeah we know. We have first hour together." You pointed out.
She clapped her hands together.
"That's why you two look so familiar! I don't think I got your names."
Matt introduced himself and explained that he also had third and fifth hour with her. She turned to you and you got on with introducing yourself.
"I'm Y/N Jones. I think I have you sixth hour. Math right?"
She nodded. You turned back down to look at your food only to see a small green flame dance across the bread leaving a message.
Meet me outside the school something is happening.
You quickly got your bread and launched it across the room when no one was paying attention. You turned back to the others and pretended that nothing happened. Lisa looked at your tray then at you.
"Where's your bread?" She asked.
You played dumb.
"What bread? I don't eat bread." You tried to cover up.
She looked at you confused.
"But you just had..."
"OH BOY THERE GOES MY PERIOD AGAIN!" You yell before running out.
Lisa just watches as you run out of the room. Matt just kept eating as if nothing happened. You wondered outside past the teachers and made your way to the gym where you found two boys waiting for you.

The two looked at you and you were greeted with a smile from Kyle and a slight nod by Ivan. These two were your good friends and fellow heroes. King and Night Howler.
"So what is so important that you had to ruin my bread and get me to sneak out of a conversation with a cute girl?" You asked crossing your arms.
Ivan chuckled as Kyle rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah sorry about that. I kinda broke my phone." He explained.
Ivan pulled out his phone and showed it to you. On it was a online file he had managed to hack his way to. It was from the CCU database.
"I got the info you were looking for. It isn't good." He reported.
You took the device and looked it over. Project Zodiac.
"Ah. There's more of them. Crap." You sighed.
You scrolled down to see the list of names and abilities. You then noticed something and scrolled back up only to scroll down again. Ivan noticed the same thing but Kyle was confused.
"Ophiuchus and, the other is just three question marks." You read.
As you looked over the files you cringed in pain. You figured you'd have to face these guys eventually but there are 12 of them and each power gets worse.
"So the two i've had the displeasure of meeting already are Taurus and Virgo. Virgo had some kind of energy blast and Taurus had, i dunno, super strength?" You recalled.
Ivan looked at the list and found their names.
"Taurus, Super Speed, Stamina, and Strength. Virgo, Energy Control and Teleportation? Jesus. Who's ever behind this didn't pull and punches. All of them seem super strong."
You nodded. You think you saw one about cloning or something but honestly you just sighed and ignored it. You'll burn that bridge when you get to it. Kyle eventually read over the list and nodded.
"Well this looks like a lot of work. If you want we could lend a hand." He offered.
You shook your head.
"No thanks. You guys got your hands full with your own stuff." You declined.
"Yeah. Don't you have to liberate the Capital of the Dead or something?" Ivan asked.
Kyle nodded.
"Time works differently there. I could be gone for a year and it'll be like a week to them." He pointed out.
"And you have to take care of that Rollerz problem you got going on." You remembered.
Ivan let his head dropped and moaned.
"I don't wanna! They're a pain in my ass and you guys don't let me use warfare anymore. Plus the cops are always on my ass" He complained.
You laughed until you remembered that you had the CCU, FBI, and the SHCU after you. You then shed one lone tear. You wipe it away before taking the phone back. You sent yourself the file and handed the device back to Ivan who nodded.
"Well, I gotta get back before the new girl gets suspicious. I don't think my excuses are working anymore." You explained.
"Roger that. I should head out to. The Forgotten kinda need me around." Ivan said walking away with a single wave.
"Well, later." Kyle said before running off a different way.
You headed back to the lunchroom were you found Matt still talking to Lisa. As you sat down you heard a very cheers only to see a bright green ball of fire fly away into the distance.
"Woah. What was King doing here?" Lisa asked.
You looked at her and noted a small scar on her neck. You also noticed that she didn't sound excited or even happy. She sounds, off.
