I'll Protect You, I Promise!

Chapter 9

Sitting in the station was Alice and David in different rooms waiting with their family. Emily enters Alice's room and Reid entered David's room.

Emily pulls up a chair near Alice and sits down, "Hi Alice, my name is Emily Prentiss, I'm with the FBI. Do you think you can tell me about the night your parents were hurt by the bad man?" Alice nods and sits comfortably.

Alice thinks back on that night, "Well, after we ate mommy took me to my room to get ready for bed." Emily and the grandmother nodded. She continued, "I was asleep when I heard mommy scream, that woke me up."

Emily leans in a little closer, "Do you know what time it was when mommy woke you up?"

Alice nods, "I think it was midnight? I don't remember, sorry." Emily shook it off. "I went to mommy and daddy in the living room, and that's when I saw the man in the mask."

Emily asked Alice question after question, "When the man in the mask called you 'Princess', did that mean anything to you? Did mommy and daddy call you that?"

Alice shook her head, "No, they call me 'Angel'. The man was the only one that called me that, then he put me in the closet."

Emily finished, "Did the man make you watch him put mom and dad to sleep?" Alice nodded, "I started crying when I saw mommy look at me while she went to sleep." Alice's grandmother started getting teary-eyed when she head all this information come out from her granddaughter's mouth.

Meanwhile, in David's room, Reid was getting the same information just a little different. The Unsub entered the house somehow but the kids didn't know, all they know was that the mother was screaming. After both interviews were over the collected back into their meeting room to lay out their information.

Emily started, "Alice said her mother laid her to sleep and about midnight is when she heard her mother scream. Alice went to the living room and saw the Unsub after he murdered her father, then the unsub put her in the closet and made her watch her mother get murdered. But she said she started crying when she saw her mother look into her eyes when her body hit the floor."

Reid gave his side of the information, "David said he was changing into pajamas when he heard his mother scream. But the only difference was that the Unsub finished tying up David's father and his mother was unconscious on the floor." The team gathered up the information in their heads trying to set up a profile for the unsub, but pieces are still missing.
