When it Hit Me

Mia's POV:

After that incident with Isaac, we started talking and he started getting popular because of me.

He started becoming friends with Tiana Jake, Luke, Lucas, Brandon and the rest.

Isaac and I then became good friends, Jake is still my best friend though.

Enough with the narrating, let's get on with the school day and worst of all it was a math test...great.

"Hey...psst...psst...Mia," Jake whispered.

"Huh? What?"

"What is the answer for 2(3×2)+9?"

"According to BIDMAS..."

"Mia, stop the smart talk, what's the answer?"

"Say please,"

"Please,"

"Say with a cherry on top,"

"No!"

"Jakey wakey,"

"Ugh...fine...please with a cherry on top,"

"The answer is 21,"

"No thank you"

"Whatever!?"

It was now lunch and the boys were playing soccer, typical boys, I was alone with Isaac and Tiana had not come to school for the past one week because of the flu.

"Soooo," I say.

"Yeah, soooo what should we talk about,"

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Did I just say that!?

"Um...no..." He then looks away.

I stare at him for a few seconds and then, touch his face and then I look in his eyes, there was something he was not telling me. I could see it in his eyes and it was clear.

Suddenly, Jake barges in out of nowhere and sees me still touching his face, he turns red and barges out of the theatre, reason I was there, I don't know.

I immediately stand up.

"Jake!"

"Wait, I can explain!"

He didn't listen to me. Why was he so mad? Why did he storm out? Why did he react like that? Why was is face so red? What happened to him?

I rushed after him leaving Isaac staring at this whole commotion.

By the time I find him he is far ahead.

I see him go into the boys bathroom so I cannot follow him. I wait for him to come out but he doesn't.

I leave him alone thinking the whole thing will blow over by tomorrow.

I walk away I go to my highly decorated locker (black, I hate pink) and I get my books for the next class.

I keep pondering about what happened, school goes by fast, and I really want to see Jake to tell him what he saw wasn't the truth.

We live in the same neighbourhood, if I don't see him now, I will see him later.

I get so emotional writing this, anyways, the next chapter is in Jake's POV so you will then know why he reacted like that.
