Confession

Jake's POV:

I have to do what my sister said, I want to actually see what my feeling is, I was so confused on that day but now the confusion will be over.

Today, probably during lunch , I bring up a subject which will make me glance in her eyes.

I arrive in school unusually early.

"Hey man!" It was Mia, I don't know why I called her that.

"Uhh...Hey Jake," I could tell she was wierded out.

"What's wrong?" She looks like she was lost in thought.

"Nothing, I'm fine," She avoids eye contact with me.

"Mia, I know when a girl says their fine but they are not really fine,"

"Really Jake, I am honestly ok,"

"Are you sure?"

"I assure you my beloved, I'm fine," she smirks.

" Wait...What!" I stay pop eyed.

"I am just joking Jake,"

She starts laughing then that makes me laugh too. The bell rings which sends us to class.

I sit beside her during Spanish because of being the good friend i am and also I don't know a lot of Spanish.

Her Grandparents being Mexican give a her a great advantage which is so unfair.

"What is el amor a primera vista?" She asks.

"Love at first sight," I know some Spanish.

"Ok then what is el sobrino and la sobrina?"

"..." Shit.

"El jefe, that's an easy one,"

"You have two freaking Mexican grandparents, everything for you is easy!"

"Calm, Jake, calm,"

It was finally lunch time, I brought up a subject of 'you can see galaxies if you look in someone's eyes for a period of time'.

When I look in her eyes, I see stars, I feel in a whole different world, shooting stars, then I ask a question.

"Mia, can I say something to you?"

"Yeah, sure, anything,"

"...I have...liked you ever since 7th grade and always been afraid to tell you because I feel you will reject me because either you didn't like me or we were too much in the friendzone," I just don't believe what I just said.

"Jake...I..."

"I knew it, you want to reject me,"

"Jake, that's not it,"

"Then what is?"

"Jake... I will think about it and give you my answer tomorrow, how about that?"

"That sounds good to me,"

"I will meet you tomorrow, same time, same place,"

"Ok, by the way can you bring twizzlers for me tomorrow?

"Yeah, sure, anyways bye!"

"Bye, love you!"

"Jaaake..."
